Hello I am very new to linux. I have RHEL 5 installed. How do I install wine? I have the following on my root desktop: wine-snapshot-1.1.5.20080928-1.1.i386.rpm wine-snapshot-devel-1.1.5.20080928-1.1.i386.rpm wine-1.1.5.tar.bz2 I do not see it in ADD / Remove programs Please help. B.
I'm not sure, but I think a double click on one of those rpm files will install Wine. On Sun, Oct 12, 2008 at 18:43, b <wineforum-user at winehq.org> wrote:> Hello > > I am very new to linux. The easiest way to install Wine is through your distro's package manager. If you don't know how to use it, consult your distro's support channels. If you really want to build from source, the instructions are here: http://wiki.winehq.org/Recommended_Packages http://winehq.org/site/docs/wineusr-guide/installing-wine-source
