I've installed the program just fine, and it even started and ran just fine immediately after the installation, but now SimCity 4 will not open. Has anyone had this problem of it working fine the first go round but not at all after that? If you need more info, I'll be glad to give it to you. Thanks.
Whats the console error output? Please specify your system e.g. grafic card, wine-version, distro, ...

I was kind of looking for a solution, not just something that will fall upon deaf ears. Thanks.

I have a very hard time understanding the resistance to asking for something that you want. Wine is meant to run windows programs, please stop discouraging that. That said, the game being native would be nice, but not always feasible. Please paste terminal output.
As far as I know, SC4 is broken in newer releases of Wine (I can't test right now, but looking at the Appdb, it looks true). I'm a maintainer (Austin) so I can keep you up to date on the status as soon as my computer is in a usable state. It worked great in 0.9.60, but it broke around 1.0-rc1 or rc2 :( Let's hope it gets fixed soon :) Here's the Appdb link: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=10515
