wine users - Mar 2007 - What kind of frame rate hit can I expect in wine?

I just finally succeeded in making the world of warcraft work on my
thinkpad t60, but I'm getting less than 1/5th of the speed that I was
getting in Windows.  Is that normal?   I'm getting between 5-12fps
regardless of resolution or windowed mode.

Core duo 2ghz, 1g ram, ATI x1400, Ubuntu Edgy.

No expert on this, but 1/5 seems way to low. I assume native games run
as fast as they should?

Yeah, native games run great.  I get between 70-80fps in tux racer at
1400x1050.
