I am an undergraduation and I am planning to do a known to do ( KERNAL 32) as my Final Year Project. I was wondering what should be the capabilities to successfully complete it within one year. Keeping in mind, I am new to this emulator.

I don't feel competent in answering that question. Best hop on over to #winehackers on irc.freenode.net for a quick chat with the developers. Daniel

I'm impressed that you want to use Wine as your senior project. The Kernel32 tasks listed in http://www.winehq.com/site/status_todo are probably too hard for someone new to Wine. If you haven't already, you might take a look at http://kegel.com/wine/sweng/ which tries to be an introduction to Wine for students like yourself looking for projects. In particular, as I mention in http://kegel.com/wine/sweng/#feature.msxml3 msxml3 seems ripe for the picking. I bet that would make an excellent final year project. - Dan
