Hello, I am new on this list. I have installed Wine successfully on my Mandrake but i think i couldnot configuire is smoothly. Whatever i can run simple programs like WinZip and mIRC with it but complex programs like Macromedia Flash and Photoshop CS is not running. It says that required files were not found in the Adobe Hpotoshop CS folder. Re-install photoshop to restore these files. Flash also says to re-install. I am in trouble.. anybody can help me out with this please? --
Hi, you should post which wine version you use, wether you installed from source or used a pre-built package. Last but not least you should provide more information on your Photoshop/Flash install: did you get any error messages if you run it from the commandline? From what I read so far I guess you copied your programs from a wininstall and some of them are complaining about missing registry entries or files that are stored outside the program folder. cu, Stefan Am Montag, 19. Take a look at: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=1815 maybe you should try wine version 0.9.2. cu, Stefan> > Thank you once again for your help. > Best Regards > Rakib >-------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... you should always reply to the mailing list. you can export your registry in windows and import the .reg file in wine with "wine regedit" I didn't ever install Photoshop CS, but with 0.9.2 as discribed in the app db, it should install and run quite fine. Did you change your Wine version accordingly to the app db entry? BTW: are you installing from a cdrom drive? if yes which mount options are you using? I remember that some installers/programs fail if you don't use "unhide". cu, Stefan Am Donnerstag, 22.
