WineHQ is down again, and Corel is bouncing mailing list messages. Any- one know what it is this time? -- =======================================================================Ian Pilcher ian.pilcher@home.com ========================================================================

The WineHQ IP address was 209.167.40.140 (the IP address Gerald found is not the right one, it points to Bertho's old mirror in Denmark). In the weekend, the problem was that Corel misconfigured its NS records, making Corel's own DNS servers inaccessible (www.corel.com could not be resolved either), though not down if you already knew the IPs of the domain's DNS servers. It appears they fixed it on Monday. This time they changed the address records of winehq.com, to 206.47.20.125, for some reason, so it *is* a DNS issue. The new IP address did not work when the records were activated. They seem to have changed the IP of the actual machine now, though, the new IP is reachable now.

They appear to have also blocked ICMP requests, which misled me. (God forbid that someone should use something as old-fashioned as a ping on the "modern" Internet.) -- =======================================================================Ian Pilcher ian.pilcher@home.com ========================================================================
