wine users - Feb 2001 - Trying to find rpmlib

While trying to install wine (rpm) on my Mandrake 7.1 system, I ran into a
dependency
problem. It needs rpmlib to continue. I've tried looking for it at rpmfind
but came up
empty. Does anyone know where I can find rpmlib?

If that is rpm 3.0.3 you are using, (rpm --version), I think what it
wants is a newer version of rpm.  I think there is an rpm-3.0.5
and a popt to go with it available at http://www.rpm.org that rpm-3.0.3
can install that can handle the newer packages.  rpm-3.0.4 seems to have
slightly clearer (but still confusing) error messages.

You can get rpm-4.4.2-199.1.i56.rpm from here
 http://rpm.pbone.net/
you need to check that the option "Search for rpms by name" is
selected.
I find that versions lower than the above do not provide
rpmlib(PayLoadlsLzma)<=4.4.2-1 which if i am correct you are really
looking for.
