rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.2-1 is needed by shorewall-common-4.2.0-0Beta3.noarch
Hello - I am a little problem trying to find what dependency I need to up date - This is what I see when trying to install: rpm -Fvh shorewall-* error: Failed dependencies: rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.2-1 is needed by shorewall-common-4.2.0-0Beta3.noarch rpmlib(PayloadIsLzma) <= 4.4.2-1 is needed by shorewall-perl-4.2.0-0Beta3.noarch I am using Centos 5.2 with the following RPM installed: rpm-build-4.4.2-48.el5 rpm-4.4.2-48.el5 rpm-libs-4.4.2-48.el5 rpm-devel-4.4.2-48.el5 redhat-rpm-config-8.0.45-24.el5 rpm-python-4.4.2-48.el5 Do I need to install/update some other rpm? I''m not sure which one is needed as when I look for PayLoadIsLzma there doesn''t seem to be much that I can understand about what or where it is. Thanks neal thomsen -- (\(\ (^.^) That''s odd. That''s very odd. (")") Wouldn''t you say that''s very odd? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer''s challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/

The shorewall-common and shorewall-perl packages want "<= 4.4.2-1", but you have "4.4.2-48.el5". Regards, -Roberto -- Roberto C. I don''t think it''s a problem of rpm versions. A shorewall rpm produced on RHEL 5 can be installed without any problem on a 8 year old RedHat 6.2 system. I had already uploaded and announced 4.2.0 Beta3 before discovering that change. The 4.0.13 RPMs were built with BZ2 compression and should work on older systems. 4.2.0-Beta3 RPMs with BZ2 compression may be found at: http://www1.shorewall.net/pub/shorewall/development/staging/4.2/shorewall-4.2.0-Beta3 ftp://ftp1.shorewall.net/pub/shorewall/development/staging/4.2/shorewall-4.2.0-Beta3 Future RPMs that I release will all use BZ2 payload compression so as to avoid re-occurrence of this problem.
