Hi!
I made these nifty pythonscripts to make my ripping+encoding+sorting easier.
They are designed to use in Grip.
w_oggenc:
Call this instead of oggenc in Grip with the command-line:
"%A" "%d" "%t" "%a" "%n"
"%y" "%G" "%i"
Now you can put additional info in the "Disc title" field:
{DISCTYPE,DISCNUMBER,DISCNAME}
Example 1: "Fragile {2CD,2,Right}", which means that the album is
called
Fragile, it's a doublecd (2CD), the second disc which is called
"Right".
Example 2: "Kick Da Bucket {CDS}", which means it is a cd-single.
w_setdate:
Usage: w_setdate year files...
Example: w_setdate 1977 "01-In The City" "02-All Around The
World"
Use this to set the year of a song if it is different from the year of the
album (maybe a "best of" record)...
w_fixdir:
Usage: w_fixdir files...
Example 1: w_fixdir *.ogg
Example 2: w_fixdir */*.ogg
It reads the tags in the OGGs, creates directories with proper names and
renames the files.
The format it uses is this:
ingle-cds:
The Jam/1997_The Very Best Of The Jam [CD]/01__In The City.ogg
cd-singles:
Liberator/1996_Tell Me Tell Me Tell Me [CDS]/01__Liberator.ogg
double-cds:
Jean Michel Jarre/Complete Oxygene [2CD]/1-03__Oxygene 3.ogg
Jean Michel Jarre/Complete Oxygene [2CD]/2-04__Oxygene 10.ogg
double-cds with named discs:
Nine Inch Nails/1998_Fragile [2CD]/1-Left-01__Somewhat Damaged.ogg
Nine Inch Nails/1998_Fragile [2CD]/2-Right-05__We're In This Together.ogg
compilations:
Various/1992_GBG Hardcore 77-82 [CD]/21__Tatuerade
Snutkukar__Kontrollantjävlar.ogg
Set the variable BASEDIR in w_fixdir to change base directory.
I hope you like it! I do! :-)
The tags I've used are:
ARTIST (Artist in the song)
ALBUM (Album name)
TRACKNUMBER (number of the track)
TITLE (Title of the song)
DATE (Year of the song)
DISCARTIST ("Artist" of the disc, for example "Various")
DISCTYPE (CD, CDS, 2CD...)
DISCDATE (Year of the record)
DISCNAME (Name of the record)
DISCNUMBER (Which part of a multi-disc volume)
GENRE (ID3-genre)
FREEDBID (FreeDB/CDDB Disc-ID)
Regards
Per Wigren
