We have Samba setup for our shared drive. I have pasted the smb.conf file below. Everything is working well accept when we try and run an EXE file using Windows Vista. When we run an EXE file it first ask for UAC control then it pops up the username and password prompt. You must then type your username and password in again before it will run. I just tried rc4-cvs and I can't believe how good it sounds! I can hear very little difference between the wav and the q0-ogg on my above-average stereo... It really makes MP3 look (sound) *pathetic* in comparision! I did some comparisions on a few songs, from noisy 77-punk to Jean-Michel Jarre to EBM/Industrial, and q0/~64kbit RC4-vorbis sounds as good or better than V9/~128kbit LAME-mp3 on ALL of them! I ripped my ex-girlfriend's recordcollection (about 400 CDs) when RC2 was just released, using q5.. Too bad I don't have access to it anymore, or I would rerip it with RC4 q4 a...

...top half of the image is the original wave file and the bottom half is the file after compression/decompression. The compressor was the latest Windows oggdrop, and I decompressed it with Winamp (after I heard the glitch durign Winamp playback). The track was track one of Equinoxe by Jean Michelle Jarre and the glitch appears 1.02 seconds into the track. I can send you a copy of the first few seconds if you want to try and debug it. MP3 does awful things to this CD even at high bitrates, you'll be glad to hear that Vorbis seems to do much better - apart from that big glitch at the beginning....
