Hello, We are working on the Oralux project, a Knoppix customization for the vision impaired persons. The users would like to hear a beep to be informed that the syslinux prompt is displayed. In the recent archives, there was an answer to such a question: http://www.zytor.com/pipermail/syslinux/2003-June/002212.html Nevertheless, the bell character doesn't make my syslinux displayed text beep. Many thanks in advance for your help, Gilles Casse -- Oralux http://oralux.org

I also tried putting some text before and after the ^G, putting multiple in it etc.pp. Seems that it really doesn't work. I'll do some more tests about this. Maybe hpa knows what's wrong?
