SugarCRM, NO!, Foxpro, SI?
I have dual posted this to the user and biz lists.
Has anyone ever heard of someone running an Asterisk based system, yet abandoning SugarCRM, and opting to develop their own Visual FoxPro database/CRM?
Please don't dump on me now, this is not my idea, I am just asking for comments, to see if my own initial thoughts are reasonably accurate.

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
I am also very interested in CRM integration. Anything I can do to help?
One thing I don't understand is how is the browser being launched on the
person's PC. Or is it not launched automatically?
Anyone know of a simple app running on the desktop to do this? I looked
into IPSwithcBoard and it appears like it should be able to do the job,
but:
a) It is pretty heavy - it does a lot of

CRM integration (was RE: CallerID)
The method we use for web popups on incoming calls in the astGUIclient
client app that we are working on for release next week is to use
AJAX(Javascript + XMLHTTPRequest) It works in Firefox and IE5+ and doesn't
require any META refreshes. We've been using this internally for the last
month and it works great.

Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Integration with Asterisk
Hi,
Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 integration with Asterisk/Trixbox has been

to existing support for SugarCRM and Salesforce CRM. It is available
at http://www.starutilities.com/staroldialer.htm
Thank you for your valuable comments and suggestions.

CRM software
Can anyone recommend CRM software with a link into Asterisk? I would
like a pop up on caller ID if possible. I've played with the FOP and
SugarCRM but can't get them working together.

CRM integration with Asterisk
Hi
I have seen discussion about Asterisk integration with SugarCRM and
Salesforce.com CRM in mailing list archives.
I just want to add here that Star Outlook Dialer (Free Edition) has
built in integration (through StarJunction) with SugarCRM as well as
with Salesforce CRM. It is available for free download at
http://www.starutilities.com/staroldialer.htm

SMS Scenario
Hello;
I need two scenarios:
1) If someone sent SMS message, then we need to query information from the database based on information sent by the SMS (like the name or the mobile number), after querying from the database, we need to reply by the SMS. Can asterisk do this? To which level?
2) I have vtiger CRM, and it is possible to send SMS (there is a button: send SMS), the question is: what is

Asterisk@Home 1.1b1 has been released
We have replaced the simple contact management system
in Asterisk@Home with SugarCRM a full CRM system. This
might seem like over kill for a home PBX but Sugar has
the best contact management we have seen. With click
to dial functionality and the ability to import data
from other contact managers it’s a great fit for
Asterisk@Home.
We have also added new version of the usual Asterisk
software AMP

Setting up a "secure" AMI?
Hi All,
I've just upgraded our CRM and it has an Asterisk Integration Module
that I would like to test out.
The CRM is running on one of our hosted servers in the cloud. The
Asterisk server is running in my office.
I am running Asterisk 1.4.21.2~dfsg-1ubuntu3.
Reading the page

Asterisk VM and Android phone?
Hi,
Is anybody picking up emails as attachments on an android phone like
the t-mobile G1?
I had this working a while ago but since I re-installed my asterisk
box to a newer build I am unable to open
the attachments, I just get told it can't handle the format?
I've been through and tried all wav, wav49, gsm and cant seem to open them.
Any suggestions?

.Net Developer wants to volunteer at RoR project
Hi,
having read "my job went to india" I decided to quit programming within
the Microsoft environment and start something different...
So, is there any RubyOnRails project that in exchange for "reviving" me
needs a loyal (code) contributor?
Thanks in advance

Features you'd like to see in a GUI?
Sherwood,
Your intentions are noble and your desire to build this, fullfills an
immediate need for business.
If your intention is just to build a GUI for Asterisk, read no further.
If your desire is to build something more purposeful, your best bet
would be to see the existing commercial GUI/HostedPBX offerings like
Pbxware and Switchware from bicomsystems.com

OT: open source inventory system with invoicing and serial no tracking
Dear All,
Sorry, cause this is OT.
I am asking this for my client, they hope to find a simple open source
web base software with invoicing and serial no tracking, preferably if
can generate continuous serial no by its own.
Thanks in advance.
