[st.n@gmx.net: Bug#200435: xmms-flac: doesn't properly support long files]
severity 200435 normal
thanks
I received this bug report from a Debian user. I can't think of any reason
offhand why the command line tool would work while the xmms plugin would
fail.

[bodrato@gulp.linux.it: Bug#174609: flac: option "-E, --escape-coding" in man page, but not accepted]
I assume this option was intentionally removed, and the man page should
simply be updated...is this correct?

Re: Bug#275791: r-gnome: gnome library can not be read (PR#7276)
Dear R bug fixers,
This came in early this morning. The R/Gnome configuration, and selection of
libraries hat not changed one bit since I last built 1.9.1 -- but maybe
something change in the Gmome/Glib/Gtk, or even x11, libraries? Would anyone
know where RestoreAction is defined?
The list of Debian packages on which r-gnome depends is below; as this is
computed from ldd output I won't add

Tukey post hoc comparison (glht?) after 3factorial mixed model (lmer)
Hello, dear R-community.
This is a question about TukeyHSD between factor combinations of a Three-Way
ANOVA, which is - since it is a multi measure ANOVA - not a simple ANOVA but
a Generalised Linear Mixed Model (GLMM), calculated with "lmer".

Wine compile error in tools/wpp (ppl.l) under debian
I'm getting a compile error when trying to compile the flex output of
ppl.l in tools/wpp. This is under Debian (Woody) with latest updates.
Can anybody help me out? Enclosed is the output of the build and
folling that, the installed packages. I have also tried the latest
version (20030408) with identical results.
TIA

CCing upstream on this. Josh, did 1.1.1 change interfaces in liboggflac?
If so, it needs a soname change.

When I had a dynapic IP connection with shaw, there was not problem
either.
I just changed to static and IAX can not connect.
How can I test it?

crossed random effects
Hi,
I have a data set on germination and plant growth with
the following variables:
dataset=fm
mass (response)
sub (fixed effect)
moist (fixed effect)
pop (fixed effect)
mum (random effect nested within population)
iheight (covariate)

I want to see if moist or sub interacts with mum for
any of the pops, but I am getting an error

IAX with shaw cable not going through
I just changed the from DSL to Shaw Cable (static IP) configure the
firewall but now asterisk I can not register with FWD nor VoipJet calls

[PIMP] Topfunky''s httperf PeepCode screencast (Zed A. Shaw)
Hi,
Thanks Zed - this is very interesting. One item in particular caught my
eye: Does anyone on this list have any comments or validation that
Rails 1.2.1 is 2-4 times as slow as Rails 1.1.6? Topfunky provided a
link that purports what looks like really horrible performance and
memory characteristics for Rails 1.2.1, even v. 1.1.6:

anyone care to point me in the right direction? LVS
i'm trying to setup LVS, and tried both the lvs-dr and the lvs-nat,
but can't get any to work.
I'm hoping people here can answer a few questions that might help and
shed light onto the situation?
#1 with regards to the Real Servers, is there anything that needs to
be configured other that the http service? I ask this, because I
suspect yes, and it has to do with what type of LVS you

%d/%n doesn't work... why?
Hello all,
I've been trying to setup my postfix and dovecot to AUTH with mysql, and I'm
almost there!
BUT, for some reason, dovecot won't create the folders in their proper
location.
For some reason, instead of going into
/var/vmail/pplsnet.com/{username}location, where the postfix put all
the emails,
dovecot creates a whole new set of folders in /var/vmail/{username}
I have
