"moving average" method for time series objects
Dear R-Help readers,
I suspect that this question must be a FAQ, but my investigation of the archives has not been very revealing. Is there an R function for calculating moving averages of time series objects?
Thank you for your time and patience.

Question about latest CentOS 7 AWS AMI
Hi,
I'm seeing some strange behavior when trying to use the latest CentOS 7 AMI
from the AWS marketplace.
The AMI that we've been using previously is "ami-02eac2c0129f6376b"
released January 30, 2019 at 6:40:58 PM
Today I saw a new AMI with ID "ami-0c3b960f8440c7d71" that was released

Can't see all of the directories in a share with 2.2.7a-1 & RH8...but older version/kernel can
Hi all,
Hoping someone might be able to steer me in the right direction and/or
help me solve my problem.
We have a number of Linux servers (RH6.2 -> RH8) which connect to the
same share on a Win2000 Server. We've been working kinda hard to get
everything upgraded to either RH7.3 or RH8.0 since we rarely get the
opportunity. 2 similar servers (one dev, one prod) access this same

wxRuby 1.9.7 released
Hi
wxRuby 1.9.7 is now available from rubyforge. This release is mainly to
restore one-step gem installation for Windows users, so they can easily
benefit from the many enhancements and fixes that were included in
1.9.6. The gem will now install Microsoft''s VC version 8.0 dlls. As
usual ''gem install wxruby'' should get you the latest version.
For users on Linux and

Issue with Wx::Image class, especially set_data
Hello
Hopefully some developer will see this too.
I''ve problems using set_data method for example with wxruby 1.9.7/ruby
1.8.6 on mswin32.
It always crashes:
..../classes/bitmap.rb:17: [BUG] segmentation fault
On my Linux it works fine (thats no suprise of course).
Probably somebody has a clue - I exported this raw data also with
get_data, I guess this should be platform independent

RE : Successfuly Building Samba 2.2.X under HP-UX 11i with gcc
Hello,
just for my information, what happens if you append "-D_HPUX_SOURCE" ?
Some (long) time ago (HP-UX 10.x), it would help compiling foreign software on HP-UX. But I had only at hand the HP compiler.

RE : OOT : Puzzling
Hi,
It is not a Samba issue, but a RH9 one.
Try to replace in /etc/sysconfig/i18n the default charset utf8 to something easier (and faster) to handle for the system (look at the same file on your RH73).
HTH,
J?r?me

RE : S3+CUPS+PDF pseudo printer : print command not functional on service
Thanks for your answer.
So for my PDF printer, I switched back to BSD printing (calling cups-lpd), and keeped the local (to PDF printer) print command definition. It works now. I still had to add to cups (which automatically generates the /etc/printcap file) a fake printer with the name of the pdf printer (to avoid the loss of the manual addendum to /etc/printcap for the pdf printer).

application using wxRuby: Albuin (OT?)
Hi.
Just wanted to tell you that I''ve just uploaded Albuin - a music player
I''ve been working on - to RubyForge.
Albuin is heavily inspired by Muine - a music player for GNOME with a really
nice and simple UI.
As I''m stuck on windows (photoshop, autocad, archicad...) Albuin is my
attempt to "port" Muine to windows.
Using Ruby and WxRuby as a bonus

svn problem checking out test suite
I updated one of the powerpc64 lnt buildbot machines to a new OS release
and the buildbot started failing every run when it tries to check out

The checkout will run for a while then always fails like this:

I'm a student in a trainning period and I have to implement a RSTP in a embedded Linux. I wonder if someone knows if it exists a version of bridge-utils who can made this or if it's possible to modify my actual version (bridge-utils-1.0.6) to do that and how ?
Thanks in advance.
PS : sorry for my english it's not my natural language ^^.

About NIDS software or hardware.
Hi all CentOS users.
I have used the Snort on server for NIDS.It is connected to switch's
SPAN port and server ethernet mode is promiscuous and it is analysing

But i am searching other alternative for NIDS that it connectable to
network area like Snort server.I found some hardware machine such as
SonicWall,Barracuda etc.. but at the same time this
