[wxruby-development] Suggestion for Installation Instructions
http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/wiki/wiki.pl?Installation Please forgive and redirect me if this is the wrong forum for this very minor posting. I suspect most people know the answer to this question from some other experience, but for those of us who don''t it would be helpful to give a hint on which Windows gem package to install. c:\ruby>gem install wxruby Select which gem to install for your platform (i386-mswin32) 1. wxruby 1.9.7 (x86-linux) 2. wxruby 1.9.7 (universal-darwin-9) 3. wxruby 1.9.7 (x86-mswin32-60) 4. wxruby 1.9.7 (i386-mswin32) 5. Skip this gem 6. Cancel installation I am guess that it is #4 for XP, since #3 blew up in the GEMS install. Thanks. [wxruby-development] Suggestion for Installation Instructions
Wes, It should be #4 (i386-mswin32). The other one should have been removed but appears to be lingering, we sometimes have this problem with the way Rubyforge replicates gems across multiple servers. If you run into this problem in the future I would suggest comparing the listed gems with the download list at: http://rubyforge.org/frs/?group_id=35 Sean On Tue, May 20, 2008 at 3:23 PM, Rishel,Wes <Wes.Rishel at gartner.com> wrote:> http://wxruby.rubyforge.org/wiki/wiki.pl?Installation > > > > Please forgive and redirect me if this is the wrong forum for this very > minor posting. > > > > I suspect most people know the answer to this question from some other > experience, but for those of us who don''t it would be helpful to give a hint > on which Windows gem package to install. > > > > c:\ruby>gem install wxruby > > Select which gem to install for your platform (i386-mswin32) > > 1. wxruby 1.9.7 (x86-linux) > > 2. wxruby 1.9.7 (universal-darwin-9) > > 3. wxruby 1.9.7 (x86-mswin32-60) > > 4. wxruby 1.9.7 (i386-mswin32) > > 5.
