Linux Ethernet Bridging - Apr 2007 - [Bridge] RSTP implementation

I've already go on there and download the rstplib but i have lots of
difficulties to understand this libraries because it's implement a
simulator. In fact i don't understand which file is for the simulator and
which is the really rstp implementation.  If someone can help .....

Hi,

    I'm a student in a trainning period and I have to implement a RSTP in a
embedded Linux. I wonder if someone knows if it exists a version of bridge-utils
who can made this or if it's possible to modify my actual version
(bridge-utils-1.0.6) to do that and how ?

Hi,

for a universitary project, RSTP (802.1D-2004, Ch. 17) shall be 
implemented on an embedded linux device.

My questions: were there any further developments since the version 
from Marco Goetze, which was available for download on 
http://linux-net.osdl.org/index.php/Talk:Bridge ?
On the site is announced that it is unusable and that some pieces are 
missing. Is there any documentation about 'why' it's unusable and 
'what' is missing so somebody (like me) might be able to finish the 
work?
