Macromedia Dreamweaver MX
Hi, I hope this is the correct mailing list to send to. Basically I have just put in a full Linux computer suite in the school I work at. The problem is they need the Macromedia Suite for their 6th form students. As I couldn't get MX2004 to work at all I have 'downgraded' to MX. Fireworks, Freehand and Flash MX all work perfectly! But... Dreamweaver does not. What happens is I run

Hi :) I've recently rediscovered Wine, and using the excellent Wine-Tools have prepared a useful .wine dir structure with working IE6/OE/Photoshop/Illustrator, etc. However, I cannot get MX2004 [1] installed.

Step-by-step guide for PowerPoint under wine?
Dear All, is there a step-by-step guide on how to install PowerPoint 2000 with wine (I'm running PhotoShop 3 and UltraEdit with it, perfectly !) System: SuSE Personal 9.1, wine -version is 20040213-41. I tried to start the install with 'wine /path/to/CD-ROM/setup.exe', it takes forever and finally it returns with 'file not found'. The files are all there, expect that on the

Dreamweaver MX 2004 on Wine
Hi. I am trying to run Dreamweaver MX 2004 on wine. During installation, it complains about the absence of Microsoft Foundation Classes. Ignoring the warning, the installation completes, but, when trying to run the program, wine exits silently with exit status 206. If I try to install Microsoft Foundation Classes through winetools, winetools fails silently. So: 1) Is there a known way to run

Basically I'm stuck at exactly the same point (I get the exact same messages and all) as http://www.winehq.org/hypermail/wine-users/2005/02/0018.html and the people who posted comments in the AppDB http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=1810. Help with multiple subnets
I have two subnets in may LAN 192.168.0.0/24 and 192.168.1.0/24. Both subnets go out to the Internet through a Linux box acting as a gateway, so the gateway has one interface in each subnet (192.168.1.1 and 192.168.0.1). In both subnets I have Windows and Linux machines and I want to configure SMB networking using a workgroup (not a domain), so one workgroup for more than one subnet. I know that

Re: macromedia dreamweaver mx
Then using dcom95 is a license violation!! Using dcom95 without windows is like using windows with no win license, did you read the dcom license? In any case try with the new wine-20020904. > > > puoti@inwind.it wrote: > > Try using the dlls from windows 95 cd, I'm not talking about the dcom95 > > dlls, but the dlls win95 installs in c:windows/system. > > > :),

Asterisk & MySQL Blobs
Hello Folks, Has anyone had production experience using * w/ MySQL Blobs to store sound files? The application I am working on requires all user data resides in a database. I am currently reading/writing the files to disk via a phpagi scripts but I would love to read the blob into a variable in the dial plan, etc. It seems like a waste of resources to write and delete the file.

machine account locations
OK I'm confused. Can machines be in ou=Computers,dc=somewhere,dc=net ? Every thing works fine if I configure so that machine accounts are created under ou=Users. If configured for machines to be in ou=Computers, I can't add a new machine. Error returned is "The user name could not be found." This is from the w2k machine itself. The release notes for 3.0.11 seem to say adding

Dreamweaver 8/MX in Ubuntu 10.04 64bit wont start.
I can not get Dreamweaver 8 or Dreamweaver MX to run. I have installed each one a couple of times and come to find out that Dreamweaver 8 has not been tested or at least WineHQ does not have a listing for Ubuntu 10.04 and Dreamweaver 8. Now they do have a listing of Ubuntu 10.04 and Dreamweaver MX and they do have Ubuntu 10.10 and Dreamweaver 8 listed. But when I install Dreamweaver 8 or

Question about AGI vs. FastAGI vs. straight C/DB development
Folks, I want to build a custom IVR for my setup. I've got it working (well, the bells and whistles are not there yet, but the basic stuff works) using AGI, but I'm worried about how well this will scale. I've seen references to FastAGI, and presumably this will be more efficient. Question, though: how well do either of these (AGI or FastAGI) scale if my system is handling a large

Access to floppy disk drive from wine-installed programs
Can anybody please tell me how to access the floppy disk drive from wine-installed programs? I've installed some basic accounting software which backs-up to floppy (don't laugh!), but when I try to do this I get the message "no removable drives..." even though I've mounted the floppy drive. The CDROM (fake d:) drive is listed in dosdevices, but floppy (fake a: ?) doesn't

Can't get things running
I'm new to wine, and I don't seem to be able to get any of my apps running. I configured Wine on Fedora Core 3 with Winetools. Wine is working, I can run the builtin Win apps, and my Win installers all run but post install I'm not making much progress. My first app (Ckpp.exe), which appeared to install fine pops up a dialog box saying: DDE requires ddeml.dll I did a locate
