Thanks all for the quick responses on the question (always a good sign of this mailing list). (Tim Dawson, Manuel Wolfshant): Regarding root cause of my current problem pointing to a faulty battery, this is not the first time that someone points to it. However I made a simple test with the vendor tools (Windows) and didn't found any issue, as well as they discharged normally (although only

My experience on situations like this is that it is almost always a bad battery.  Once load is removed, the voltage bounced back, and thus you show time/capacity, but it's possible that the sag under load drops you into LB, and causes the shutdown. If the UPS has a battery test, give it a try, or load test the battery external to the UPS if you can - I suspect that the UPS will be fine,

Hello, I have a Salicru SPS One 700VA device, I want to manage it with Debian Whezzy. I read some information in the net about how to configure but I can not get it working. Could you help with this? This is the log when I connect the USB: [ 3194.688204] usb 4-4: new low-speed USB device number 2 using ohci_hcd [ 3194.857239] usb 4-4: New USB device found, idVendor=0665, idProduct=5161 [

Salicru SPS One in Debian
Not of a big help here, but I think it's a voltronic power vesta 650: http://www.voltronicpower.com/oCart2/index.php?route=product/product&path=37&product_id=52 If that is the case, it should work both with the blazer drivers (i.e. all but the shutdown sequence) and with the now defunct voltronic ones. With arno's words: "We are currently merging a new driver to replace

Low battery unexpected shutdown
Hi, recently I observed that during a power outage, my NUT setup doesn't shutdown properly. Indeed it never reaches the LowBattery state to notify and initiate shutdown on clients. Reviewing my setup and logs I think I'm facing multiple problems and I'm unable to point to real root cause. First, let me focus on my scenario and current setup: In normal status (ONLINE, fully charged)

Salicru SPS One eventually loses connection
I have run DMESG during the disconnect and there were no messages during the time of disconnection. I ran: dmesg -w -T to follow the output. However resetting the USB device worked, so at least now I can now save a reboot: $ echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/devices/1-4/authorized 0 $ echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/bus/usb/devices/1-4/authorized 1 I am yet to try a new port/cable (the host is offsite).

Salicru SPS One eventually loses connection
Hi, I have a Saclicru SPS One 900VA. This is a warranty replacement for an earlier SPS One 900, except the first was a model with UK plugs, and this one is with IEC. The first one used to work perfectly with the existing NUT configuration. With the new unit, although NUT starts and works for a while, eventually it stops working with a "stale data" message. I have checked the FAQ

Status of nut snmp SUBagent
Hi!. I recently installed NUT on my servers to monitor a Eaton Ellipse UPS. Now I'm planning my next step: Monitor the UPS status with cacti using snmp. I see that there was a nut snmp subagent (I'm not talking about the nut-snmp driver) (http://www.networkupstools.org/server-projects/). But the current link doesn't work (404). I haven't found anything about it in the web. ?Is
