Hi, I have a Saclicru SPS One 900VA. This is a warranty replacement for an earlier SPS One 900, except the first was a model with UK plugs, and this one is with IEC. The first one used to work perfectly with the existing NUT configuration. With the new unit, although NUT starts and works for a while, eventually it stops working with a "stale data" message. I have checked the FAQ and I can't quite figure out if the section on stale data applies. I isolated the driver to get cleaner debug messages, and have provided them below. Once the stale message occurs, the only way to fix things is by rebooting the host running NUT (and connected to the UPS via USB). Unfortunately I haven't yet been able to see the output at the time the data becomes stale (terminal buffer not big enough). I can try piping it to a file. The output using -DD: https://pastebin.com/y5ZNXZ55 I think this points to a change in the software in the UPS, but is there a way to work around this? Many thanks
Further requested information: OS: Linux host 6.1.0-32-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.129-1 (2025-03-06) x86_64 GNU/Linux NUT: nut/stable,now 2.8.0-7 all Install method: Debian repo install (apt) Thanks On 10/04/2025 16:44, S Shaikh wrote:> Hi, > > I have a Saclicru SPS One 900VA. [Nut-upsuser] Salicru SPS One eventually loses connection

I would try a different port and a different cable. I would look at kernel dmesg. If you see disconnect there, I would leave it without nut running and see if it disconnects. In situations where you think you have to reboot, you might also try unplugging UBS cable, waiting 10s, and replugging.

[Nut-upsuser] Salicru SPS One eventually loses connection
Depending on the OS, a software USB reset request is also an option.
