Newbie howto
Hello First of all I would like to apologize if this message is sent to the wrong mailing list. I have a Upguards Pro 1000 UPS that does not shutdown when using megatec driver with nut. I want to be able from a linux box to issue a shutdown and restart of the ups. This way, I want to be able to reset a remote device in case it hangs and I can't access it remotely. I have found I need to do

REGRESSION: New "megatec" driver does't work for UPS that was managed by old fentonups driver
Hi there, A couple years ago, I had patched the "fentonups" nut driver to allow it to work with my Unitek Alpha 500 UPS. My patch had been accepted and incorporated in the standard fentonups driver. I have had no time to stay involved in the "nut" project since (and besides this I'm not a developper...). 2 days ago I upgraded from Ubuntu Gutsy to Ubuntu Hardy and got

can't make mustek powermust 600usb work
Disclaimer: I've setup APC UPS monitoring and it works... ... but when it comes to mustek powermust 600usb (connected via com-port), I can't make it work. Got NUT installed via aptitude in ubuntu feisty and a basic setup, exactly the same as for the apc, except for the name of the ups and the corresponding section of ups.conf -- [mustek] driver = megatec port = /dev/ttyS1

Ups not shutting down
Hello list ! Yesterday a made time to test the shutdown sequence of the server with the ups on battery. All went fine except that the ups didn't shutdown by itself. The problem is that if the power comes back until the battery completely drains and the server is stopped then the power comes back and the ups is on line but the server remains off. I mention that is set in bios to

Belkin F6C900-UNV and the megatec driver
Greetings! Thanks to all the developers who have made this project so far. Searching for a Linux based Belkin UPS monitor led me straight to the Network UPS Tools. I have bought a Belkin F6C900-UNV (900VA) for use on a Slackware 10.2 server to replace an older APC model that died suddenly. So far I have successfully managed to get NUT 2.0.5 compiled and configured and found that this Belkin

Megatec_usb driver
Trying to use it with Sven Smart RM2000 (seems to be an OEM clone of Sysgration Smart RM UPS: http://www.sysgration.com/product.asp?KID=7). I have just compiled the latest svn trunk. Unfortunately it does not work with that UPS: dbely at vserver1:~/nut-svn$ sudo /usr/local/ups/bin/megatec_usb -u root -a myups Network UPS Tools 2.1.0 - Megatec protocol driver 1.5.3 [megatec_usb] Carlos Rodrigues

Belkin F6C1100-UNV
Hi, it'd be great if you could update the documentation on the website that some models of the Belkin -UNV series will only work with the megatec(_usb) drivers. I wasted a lot of time on trying to get it to work with the wrong drivers, and would like to spare others the pain :-). Thanks, ~David P.S. Some forum post said that the stable megatec drivers don't work 100% with the belkin UPS,
