Samba 4 and GSSAPI kerberos ldap connect
Hi everyone I'm trying to use kerberos to authenticate to Samba 4 ldap. At the moment, I authenticate by specifying the binddn and password in /etc/nslcd.conf and all works fine If I add the line: sasl_mech GSSAPI to /etc/nslcd.conf and restart nslcd, no one can connect to the database. Nothing works. ldapsearch and getent passwd draw a blank. ldapsearch -x -b '' -sbase

Cannot conect LDAP to Kerberos
I'm trying to set up my ldap directory to use kerberos passwords. I have compiled openldap with --with-kpasswd, added the principal ldap/iceage.sg.org.br@SG.ORG.BR to kerberos. Also, I have prepared the user entries in LDAP with these fields (in addition to other ones): objectClass: krb5Principal krb5PrincipalName: diego@SG.ORG.BR cn: Diego Lima userPassword: {KERBEROS}diego@SG.ORG.BR I

Is there a maximum limit for the domU memory ?
Hello everybody The current limit (we''re working with Xen 4.0.1 on a debian squeeze server) for the domU memory is 256 Gb Is it possible to do something to get domUs with more than that ? Do we have to upgrade Xen hypervisor for that purpose or is a kernel recompilation sufficient ? We would like to have a vm with 768 Gb memory... Thanks for your kind answers ! -- Emmanuel

PDC: realm changed: authentication aborted
Hi list, We have a network with some XP and some Windows 7 computer, we use samba 3.6.6 on debian 6.0.6 from debian-backports. It's a pdc with passdb backend = ldapsam. In our logs there are lots of: ARCServer slapd[1263]: SASL [conn=46778] Failure: realm changed: authentication aborted I found out that at that time this emerges the tcpdump says: 12:59:54.656399 IP client.49551 >

Ack...OpenSSH no longer compatible with SSH 1.2.26 clients?
I just tried, on a whim, to use an OpenSSH client vs SSH 1.2.26 client, and I can connect with it... Something drastic change between pre23 and pre24? Then again, I can't get pre23 to work anymore either, after further investigation :( OpenSSH clients connect no problem, just not the old SSH 1.2.26 clients ... Marc G. Ack...OpenSSH no longer compatible with SSH 1.2.26 clients?
Hi Marc, I am seeing this exact same problem on OpenSSH-2.5.1p1 compiled on a PowerPC. The same code compiled for an x86 machine works fine. Your messages on the list didn't seem to indicate any resolution to this problem. Have you figured out how to make it work? checksum: 2d2711e2 stored checksum: 2d2711e2 checksum: 72f2b13c stored checksum: e230f836 Disconnecting: Corrupted check bytes

in packet.c:packet_read_poll(), stored_checksum is an unsigned int, but GET_32BIT is returning an unsigned long ... Or isn't it? Marc G. Fournier marc.fournier at acadiau.ca Senior Systems Administrator Acadia University "These are my opinions, which are not necessarily shared by my employer"

Internal LDAP problem
Hi! I'm trying to use the internal LDAP provided by Samba4 to store mail domains used by SOGo. I have two sets of users. Those used by Samba and created through samba-tool and those created under some "ou" I have made up. A few days ago I was able to change the latter users passwords using "ldapadmin" (a windows LDAP client) but today I am not. When I try to change a

Hardware raid LSI Megaraid not working since Centos 6.6
That's weird, because starting with 6.6 we could finally ditch inserting kmods at installation time, the new kernel in 6.6 supported everything. I believe the model we have (among others) is 9341-4i; I would imagine it's pretty similar with what you have. You should open perhaps a bugzilla issue with redhat about this.
