[Flac-users] winamp plugins troubles
Give a hint please how to compile winamp plugins. After ./configure && make I see no .dll and no .wac files in the source tree at all :( What am I doing wrong? All the lib modules are compiled just as xmms plugin but the winamp ones.. Documentation says nothing about that. -- Best regards, RuslanO mailto:ruslano@imp.lg.ua

Winamp plugin installation
Okay, this is a nitpick but I gotta do it. First the background: I'm trying to convince a diehard mp3 coworker of mine to use ogg for his personal project along side of mp3 and having a tough time. His gripe is that the default players all support mp3 (Winamp and wma) but not ogg and that his listeners won't want to go out and install it. We have now set up a huge shared drive on the

FLAC winamp plugin
Hi, What is the best way to play FLAC files in winamp? Using the in_flac.dll plugin provided in the flac-1.1.4-win.zip file and copying it to the Plugins subdirectory of winamp or using the plugin that's provided by winamp itself? Are there differences between those 2 plugins? It's not really clear for me thanks in advance Harry -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment

vorbis winamp plugin
Hi I've developed a player that utilizes winamp input plugins for decoding audio to PCM. I'm going to include an open source mp3 input plugin, in_mpg123.dll, and I'm wanting an open source in_vorbis.dll as well. One question. Since vorbis is open source, would it break any rules to distribute the in_vorbis.dll included with Winamp? I presume so but thought I would ask.

Winamp 3 plugin and flac 1.0.3
When I copy the winamp 3 plugin into the appropriate winamp folder, and start winamp, Winamp complains that it cannot find MSVCRTD.DLL Was the plugin mistakenly compiled as Debug and shipped that way? Any way for me to get the winamp3 plugin that isn't debug? I do not have MSVC++ to recompile it. -Justin

Winamp plugin not recognized at all
I happily downloaded the official beta4 winamp plugin as well as Mattew's versions with VCE interated and with/without the dialog. When I installed it winamp (v2.72) didn't recognize it (no vorbis plugin listed in the config, doesn't play ogg files) - same for all of them. I recompiled it myself from Mattew's source with vce - same results. It does recognize the old plugin when

Winamp plugin bug
Okay I just found out about Vorbis today. I like it! However the Winamp plugin bug struck me the first time I used it. I used the encoder to compress 2 wavs. Each time I play these ogg files I either get a Winamp crash or a beep at the end of playing the file. I checked the archives and saw the old posts for this same bug. Has it been fixed in a newer version? I take it since the Winamp plugin

Alternate winamp plugin.
Hello everyone, I just thought that you should know that I was talking to someone the other day and it seems that someone fairly close to Nullsoft has created his own winamp plugin. I'm just suggesting this as an alternate plugin for those that wish to try it. I had nothing to do with writing it so please don't e-mail me about it. It's slightly more finished than the current winamp

Winamp plugin compile problems and fix/docs
The winamp plugin would not compile. I am using the Cygnus environment (gcc, and a lot of other GNU utils) on Windows NT. _beginthread() is not found. That doesn't look like a function application code should ever call directly. I converted it to use CreateThread and it compiles and works. Change this: thread_handle = (HANDLE)_beginthread(DecodeThread,0, (void *)(&killDecod eThread)

Re: WinAmp OGG Output Plugin
This message appeared in my inbox over the weekend. A useful idea although I have not reviewed the code. Might someone on the list (or the original author) be interested in running with it? winamp plug-in enhancement/bugfix
josh, thanks for the feedback. now i can start encoding like mad knowing that the generated flac files are ok =) (flac -t said the files were ok, despite metaflac's complaints). i noticed that without the flac-for-winamp plug-in installed, winamp correctly displays the id3 filename (e.g. "Bjork - Human Behavior") in the playlist and also displays the id3 tags in the file

Sorry, had to foward this. Chris: Majordomo is triggering on the HTML in the message and rejecting it. [Flac-users] Winamp 2/Winamp 3 and FLAC plug-ins
I know that Winamp has its loyal following. I've never used it much. Also, I'm a novice at computer music. I've always just bought CD's and never used computer music. So perhaps I'm an idiot or just not very music-software literate, but I so far haven't been impressed with Winamp, or the FLAC plug-in. Just for one example, I've got a dual-Althlon MP 2000 system

Winamp Plugin Info Editor
Jack, Michael, Monty, Chris, Hi guys, it's me again. ;-) The one major feature missing from the winamp plugin has been a info/comment editor option. I've been working on an idea for the last day or so. The idea was to add Warren Spits VCE program to take on this job. I've got all of the code done and I now have a working comment editor in the vorbis winamp plugin. It's all

New WinAMP 3.0
Hi. Winamp version 3.0 has been announced. There will be no public beta and final version is expected for Christmas. Winamp 3.0 will be completely re-written version, but current plug-ins and skins (for winamp 2.x) will NOT be compatible with Winamp 3 (though this will be addressed in later winamp 3 versions). More info: http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp3x/ Anyway, the reason I'm sending
