I happily downloaded the official beta4 winamp plugin as well as Mattew's
versions with VCE interated and with/without the dialog. When I installed
it winamp (v2.72) didn't recognize it (no vorbis plugin listed in the
config, doesn't play ogg files) - same for all of them. I recompiled it
myself from Mattew's source with vce - same results.
It does recognize the old plugin when I put it back (it was somewhere
after beta3 but before beta4, probably the prebeta4 binary that was posted
here, I don't remember the cvs date but I can check it if needed). I had
no problems with previous plugins (beta3, beta2).
Does anybody has such problems? What can be wrong? The only thing I
thought about was to press "flush plugin name cache" - doesn't
help of
course (I closed and started winamp between every test).

I was using beta3 and some pre-beta4 version plug-in, and they all work. Beta4 works OK, and so does the version with comment editor. Don't know what could be wrong, try uninstalling (make sure you delete the WinAMP directory) and then install WinAMP again and copy the plug-in in the plug-in directory again. My Machine: AMD K6-2 @ 400 MHz (not overclocked) Win95C Winamp 2.72 Reinstalling of Winamp doesn´t help. Anybody with an idea of what goes wrong?
