Hi. Winamp version 3.0 has been announced. There will be no public beta and final version is expected for Christmas. Winamp 3.0 will be completely re-written version, but current plug-ins and skins (for winamp 2.x) will NOT be compatible with Winamp 3 (though this will be addressed in later winamp 3 versions). More info: http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/winamp3x/ Anyway, the reason I'm sending this is because I think that it would be great if winamp 3 could natively support ogg vorbis so that you don't have to download any plug-ins to play ogg files. This would be a good chance for vorbis promotion and popularization... --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ Ogg project homepage: http://www.xiph.org/ogg/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'vorbis-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. Just goes to show, once again, what happens when AOL really gets to take over a product. Doesn't matter to me, since I never intend to get it, but I imagine this will make including Ogg Vorbis in WinAmp more difficult, not to mention winamp users trying to keep up with the newest version. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
