Hi all, I have written a COM32 module called "acpioff", that, not surprisingly, powers off a machine using ACPI. I have tested it only using pxelinux.0 with a SeaBIOS/Qemu virtual machine. Since the changeset pulls in a "Linux-ized" version of the open source ACPI Component Architecture, it was too big to post as a patches to the list. See the git pull-request output below.

What should have been a routine upgrade to ZFS 0.6.4.1-1.el6.x86_64 somehow failed, and now I've lost access to a 2T raidz2 array. I've tried removing all zfs and related packages (spl*), then starting fresh. For reasons that have have nothing to do with this problem (I don't think), I'm still booted to kernel 2.6.32-431.29.2.el6.x86_64, and there are no other kernels installed.

Hello, My MGE Pulsar Evolution 800 had some hardware troubles (it may be the batteries according to the manual). The fault was not detected so the power was cut to the load and nothing appears in the log files. Arnaud: do you know if the UPS have some way to report this kind of troubles to the PC so that NUT can handle it with a shutdown sequence ? Philippe

Hi I have Pulsar 1000 (MGE) and mge-shut 2.0.5-3. By default mge-shut don;t reboot ups after upsmoc -c fsd, only permanent powerdown. After I add ondelay=30 in config, all nice, ups restarted after 10 sec. But according man mge-shut ondelay measured in tens of seconds and by default equal 3. -- Olleg Samoylov

Hi, We have been testing an MGE Pulsar M 3000 and found that the lowbatt doesn't appear to do much. You can see it in the output of upsc but battery.charge.low is still the default. Setting battery.charge.low with upsrw does seem to 'stick' though so I we can use that. Mostly I'm wondering what the driver param is for :) -- Daniel O'Connor software and network engineer

Hello nuters, FreeBSD, Ellipse USBS 800, serial line, nut 2.02 everything works fine. But I'm only able to get an automatic shutdown when reaching the built-in 30% level. I the "lowbatt parameter" is set to anything, it's simply ignored. This is a problem as I want to shutdown around 90% to avoid the battery to drain out when multiple shutdowns occur. Any idea ?

Hi, Still running into serial issues on the mge-shut with the MGE Ellipse 1200 USBS. I had mge-utalk sort of talking to it, but was told to use mge-shut and get nothing out of it. This patch changes taskomatic so it only sets the VM to shutdown if the undefine succeeds. Otherwise it's possible a shutdown event could not succeed, or take a while as it often does, giving confusing messages to the user. Basically we're just letting dbomatic handle it now. Hey ! So i recently wanted to start playing CS again, i have the cd, installed it on steam and so on. I think i have the latest version of Wine. Anyway, the first times it worked fine, but now i get to play like 20 seconds(sometimes even 10-20 minutes), if lucky, and it just freezes and i can't do anything so i have to hold the power button for the laptop to shut down.(or do the alt+SysRq
