iTunes
Hi All,
I am putting together a high end workstation quote for a customer. He is
going to want a Virtual Machine, specifically so he can run iTunes (his
wife buys music through iTunes and sync's them to her iPod).
So which VM would you guys use? KVM or Virtual Box?
I am very familiar with KVM and adore it. It's USB support is kind of
weird though (iPod).
I have been seriously burned

iTunes?
Hi All,
If you would please suffer a Fedora Code 13 question on a CentOS mailing
list, I
have a Linux customer with Fedora Code 13 who loves it but is about to dump
it because he really, really wants iTunes. (He owns an iPod and an iPhone.)
None of the Linux utilities quite work right and he wants to buy music from
the iTunes store as well. Plus he wants to synchronize his contacts list.
So, I

Will Wine let me load iTunes in Ubuntu 9.04
I am attempting to totally move away from Windows and my main stumbling block is iTunes. I have been using it to download talking books to an iPod as I was suffering from cateracts. I had a look at gktpod but it fell well short of my needs.
If I download Wine from the Ubuntu repository will I then be able to download iTunes and obtain the functionality that I require?
Thanking you in

The only application that i will be using on wine will be iTunes(i use
gtkpod, but it is isnt without its own quirks) and i cant seem to get
it to work. I start an

iTunes/WineTools - Status?
Hi,
I was just wondering what the status of iTunes under and standard
version of Wine is and whether any version of WineTools is yet set up
to install it? I visited the WineTools website but didn't find iTunes
on the supported software list. I understand that it runs under
Crossover Office but I tried and was not able to get it to work.
Thanks,
Mark

iTunes / quick time
Any idea if/when there will be official ogg support for iTunes or Quick Time for Mac ?
The dual G4s have this stupid thing where if we stick the quick time components on the Mac and it screws them up, or the Mac gets screwed later, then it nacks up the warranty or sumthin.
Basic point is we need official quicktime or iTunes support so we can play Vorbis on the Mac!!!
Anyone heard anything on

Post subject: Uninstall Windows Apps?
Hi All
I'm running Ubuntu Maverick with Wine 1.2.2
After I had to install Apples Itunes to unlock a ipod, I'm now finding Itunes has "taken over" my system! It starts when I want to open my home folder for some reason!
I am done with using it and I have other software in Ubu that's working fine with the ipod so I though I would uninstal itunes. Sounds easy eh?

Hello, I'm not a software developer but I am a full time Ubuntu user!, I also really Love Linux.
Heres the thing tho I try to get my friends into using Linux and dropping windows! But a lot of them do not want to try out Linux or give it a chance because the first thing they ask is does itunes work with Linux? I tell them about the alternative like banshee and rhythm box and they still refuse

iTUNES, INTERNET EXPLORER and SKYPE INSTALL EASILY AND WORK PERFECTLY
Hello all,

Ok, I don't know what I'm doing wrong here, so I
signed up to the mailing list. Here's the situation:
I have an extensive music collection and have just
purchased an iPod. I already have ripped a few of my
CDs (about 4Gb worth) in an mp3 format (previously had
an mp3 CD player), but I'm not planning to rip the
rest of my CD collection in an mp3 format. At the
moment, I'm

Complete set of tools for Icecast
We are switching from Windows Media to Icecast. I want to get as close
to open source as possible.
That means that I need the following open-source items:
Player for Windows (not Winamp if possible - it's now owned by AOL.)
Player for Mac
Player for Linux
We will also be podcasting, so that means our encoding needs to be
compatible with the Apple iPod. Here's what it supports: MP3

flac files playable in iTunes 5.0.1 ?
Hi,
Is the recent version 0.1.5 (08.05.2006) of XiphQT compatible with
iTunes 5.0.1 and Mac OSX 10.4? I am trying to get flac files to play
in my iTunes and hope I don't have to upgrade iTunes and get all the
junk that comes with it. i already have ogg support, so this is an
incremental improvement.

Ubuntu Natty / WINE / iTunes, uninstall
Hi all,
I installed Ubuntu Natty Narwahl ,then WINE and finally iTunes (using WINE) but have found iTunes is simply too slow and many features don't work as they should. So I've decided to do away with iTunes and just stick to one of the Linux players.
However, whenever I use the WINE uninstaller, the progress window says the operation completed but the iTunes (and Bonjour, etc) names,

Trouble running iTunes 10.5.2 in Wine under Ubuntu 11.10
I will start out by saying that I'm a noob. I have used ubuntu as a tool to partition and format hard drives a bunch of times, but recently installed it on a 7 year old laptop because windows is just too much for it nowadays.
Anyway, I was curious if I could get iTunes to run. After a little research I installed wine and then iTunes. I was lucky that any of it worked. I don't know how to
