Wine install problem - undefined reference to `bMenuVisible'
I installed 1.1.6 and it was working fine except for one application. I installed 0.9.32 after changing my .wine directory to .wine_bak. (someone mentioned that they had got my application to work on the older version). The application still didn't work, so I changed my .wine directory to .wine932, and changed my .wine_bak to .wine. At that point I expected everything to be back to where I had

Suffix or Operands invalid during AMD64 compile
Hi all, I am trying to compile Wine 0.9.32 from source on an AMD64 desktop running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4. I configure as follows: % ./configure --prefix=/home/mfuhrer/sw/linux --with-x --enable-wine64 This works fine. I run make depend, followed by make, and get the following error: % make make[1]: Entering directory `/mnt/io/home/mfuhrer/sw/src/wine-0.9.32/tools' make[1]:

There's still the registration problem, which is a regression from around wine 1.1.5. On autocad 2005 appdb page there's an howto which explains how to work around the issue. Again, please don't ask for help applying the patches....No time on these days. Looking on forum, wine hq and bugzilla pages you can find all you need :-) Ciao Max

this so I created a new directory and placed two files in there Foo.dll Foo.h and ran "winemaker --lower-uppercase --console .". This creates a Makefile that when I run "make" does nothing. Ok, creates an empty C file, "foo.c" and run "winemaker" again. Now a make creates foo.o foo.dll (a script) foo.dll.exe.so foo.dll.dbg.c (empty, "no

Hey guys, I just installed the newest Wine version (1.1.24) through the Synaptic Package Manager, but it's nowhere to be found. There is no entry in my "applications" menu, and there's no Wine folder in my home directory. I'm on 64 bit Jaunty, and I've been having trouble with Wine since I first used it (on Intrepid in March). Through constantly uninstalling and

'Windows' path using GetFullPathName() -- code below. My question is how best to do the opposite -- not necessarily from a 'Windows' program. Ex., given a path such as 'C:\PRETEST\GEM01494\GEM01494.RTF', how do I get '/home/justin/.cxoffice/dotwine/fake_windows/pretest/GEM01494/GEM01494.rtf'? I currently have a 'solution' using a lookup table {

You are paying a price for it. Yes if your sound card has a onboard mixer alsa supports hardware acceleration of audio mixing there will be almost no cpu load at all. Soft disabling pulseaudio also nastly fails on non hardware mixing cards. No matter how much I have asked the developer of pulseaudio to enable auto starting of dmix or a warning that no mixing is provided he has flatly refused to

Yes I know the wine docs say it's all magic and if you're using cups your printing will magically work, but for some reason, it doesn't, my wine session crashes and burns when I try to print from the built in notepad (or any other apps I've tried: in particular, Lotus

I have searched for this problem and found this link that says this problem was fixed (for WoW) in Wine 0.9.32 : http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6323 Is anyone else having problems with the numeric keypad not showing numbers under Wine 1.0 ? games is pretty much in its infancy at this point so I hope to see that grow in the future. My first question as I looked around was wondering whether gaming apps that were in there had been checked were checked in Crossover Games or Crossover Office? Maybe I missed it. I don't know yet. Anyway, I am really happy to see a second path for Windows gamers in Linux. That's not really me
