Steam games crash during gameplay

opengl32.dll problem running WoW.exe after new graphics card
Running Ubuntu 7.10 64bit, had World of Warcraft running fine under Wine with OpenGL, then my graphics card ate itself (Nvidia 7900GTX). Bought a new one (Nvidia 8800GT), but I had to monkey with the system in order to get the 8800GT to work. CPU usage at 100% in all Wine programs
I know that there have been a couple of forum topics about this, but I have been unable to find one that has a solution. The problem is that in most of my Wine programs the CPU usage is at 100% continuously, even when the program is idling. Low Quality Sound and Video settings in TF2

Ah, nevermind, think my last post may not have been entirely correct. We've spent some more time correlating the log output from our failed LXC startup via libvirt [1] with libvirt code from the 1.2.2 tag. Interestingly, the error we get back is different, and digging through the multitudes of logs, nothing comes up about 'operating not permitted' regarding the USB bus that I saw

Where did the nv50 texture unit setup come from?

NV40 Cubic Texture HW Mip Map Generation
Hello, I have been looking at cubic texture mapping for a bit, and I have found that hw mipmap generation doesn't work at all or the textures are all messed up (normal 2d work fine). This is with linear textures. Also of note is that software mipmap generation works fine. [NV50] application to confirm texture layout
Here is an app to test the texture layout. No message means it's ok. Otherwise it spews a lot of errors. You have to manually set the TILE_HEIGHT, TILE_WIDTH and TILING_PARAM. TILE_WIDTH == TILE_PITCH in this case because it's 8bpp data. Use this list (TILING_PARAM) TILE_WIDTHxTILE_HEIGHT: (0x00) 32x4 (0x10) 64x8 (0x20) 64x16 (0x30) 64x32 (0x40) 64x64 I'm curious to know if
