Tried game, won't run: what else to do or try?
Hi, I tried to run a game (War in the Pacific) using Wine on my Ubuntu laptop. The game won't run, so I entered it to AppDB. Are there more things I can try or add to my report? Like enabling debug logs in Wine or anything like that?

Wine and Baldur's Gate
Well, Now that I've made it through the actual install, I figured I'ld take Baldur's Gate for a spin. The main screeen, where you select to play the game, change the configuration, etc, comes up fine. There's a slight pause after clicking 'Play' while BGMain.exe starts and X is set yo 640x480 (I'm guessing this has something to do with DETACH_PROCESS?), but

Starfury again
Hmm, no one bit on my previous question about Space Empires Starfury... all right, this time I've got a little bit of technical info which might be helpful - here's what the terminal prints prior to the game crashing and requiring a kill -9 to get rid of it: fixme:font:load_VDMX Failed to retrieve vTable fixme:ddraw:DirectDrawEnumerateExA no non-display devices supported.

baldurs gate...
Hi NG, i tried to run baldurs gate. I saw the Intro and thats all. Wine was always printing the same message:"fixme:ddraw:Main_DirectDraw_CreateSurface App didn't request a valid surface type - assuming offscreenplain". Is this a missing feature in wine (when will it be implemented)? PS:I'm running the cvs version of today(4.May)

gothic2 demo, install and dmusic issues
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hello List! Wine (latest) - Keyboard not functioning
Hi, I am having a little bit of trouble with wine: I am running the CVS version (200507025), which is the only version that has worked so far in trying to get anything running for several weeks. As a test, I am running rayman 2. It goes to the menu beautifully, sound works perfectly, etc... the only problem is, my keyboard does not work! I have tried changing video modes etc, and considering

Hiya, I've posted this 'enigma' on the newsgroup : http://groups-beta.google.com/group/comp.emulators.ms-windows.wine/browse_thread/thread/57dcb7531ebfb529/65018c77a5e58651#65018c77a5e58651 The answers were pretty rare so I post the problem here, too. Wine 20050310 / Linux 2.6.11 crashes on munmap()
I have an application ("The Rosetta Stone" 2.0.7a) which segfaults during the startup splash screen. According to strace() it is trying to munmap() an address (0x7a6b3000) which was never mmap()'d. I get identical behavior with Wine 20050111 and kernels 2.6.9 / 2.6.10 (I use gentoo-sources). I noticed some people had similar issues upgrading from 2.6.9 to 2.6.10.

fixme:ddraw:User_DirectDraw_GetCaps unsupported structure versions
Hi: I can't get Red Alert (The old version, not Red Alert II) to work with wine. This is suprising since the Apps database on winehq.com has three entries that say Red Alert works. For me the screen goes black and stays that way. I get out of it by killing X witn Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. This the the error output from wine: Invoking /opt/wine/bin/wine.bin /WIN95/westwood/redalert/ra95.exe ...
