However at the moment, I have had to disable BLF, Hints, and Call Limiting due to an extremely annoying bug which seems to make the phones channels "lock" in busy after a call has been hungup. I've done some googling and searched voip-info but I'm not able to find a good answer about how to provision the GXP 2000. Based on questions I've asked before it seems like a lot of people are using the grandstream phones so I figure provisioning can't be that hard. Is everyone using the web interface for *every* phone? Dear all, I've implemented BLF for use with some Grandstream GXP-2000 phones and it works fine in 1.2.x versions of Asterisk, although I tested it with version 1.4.0 and it doesn't work! So I tried to use a Polycom hardphone but the politics is enough to give you a headache. Polycom seems to support SIP only if you buy it thought their vendors. So I'm looking at a Cisco phone. We're using Grandstream GXP-2000 with programmed buttons to the first 5 parking lot extensions. When a call is parked, whichever parking lot extension it's parked on lights up red. We've never used the "announce" part and I'm wondering if there's an option I can't seem to find to disable the announce so the transfer happens faster. Thanks for any help, Ken

Stopping and restarting Asterisk will lose the hints, then you will have to wait until the phone registers again. With 1.2.7.1 a reload shouldn't lose anything. Change the register time on the phones to something less that 60 minutes if it's a big problem. Instead of factory defaulting the phones you might find a simple restart will re-register the phone and BLF will work on the phone.

Is it possible to program the multi-purpose keys on a GXP-2000 remotely via a TFTP configuration file? If so, what are the parameters to put in the configuration file? Thanks, Daniel

I have about 30 GXP-2000 phones running 1.0.1.9 which have all been configured using the provisioning feature so the configuration is all identical. The problem I am having is that they randomly seem to stop registering with asterisk. When they stop registering they can still make calls but oviously asterisk cannot ring the phone so all incoming calls go to voicemail. Has anyone else had similar
