I've got Asterisk up and running nicely using a couple of different softphones. Audio quality is suffering a bit due to the hardware that I am working with. So I tried to use a Polycom hardphone but the politics is enough to give you a headache. Polycom seems to support SIP only if you buy it thought their vendors. So I'm looking at a Cisco phone. Has anyone successfully implemented Asterisk with a hardphone? Which one? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... The Cisco 7960 (or 7940 for that matter) is about the nicest hardphone I've seen so far... I don't think you'll be disappointed on features. The price, however, might disappoint you :-) Jared On Wed, 2003-06-25 at 13:44, Chris wrote:> I've got Asterisk up and running nicely using a couple of different > softphones. You can try Snom or Cisco... Or get a TDM card and use an analog phone... I am using Pingtel phones right now and find that they work well and have some cool features. Got most everything working except conferencing and we're working on that. I love some of the ringtones (i.e. 007 theme, Beavis & Butthead, Homer Simpson Doh! etc) Sincerely, Andy Hester Consero -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com]On Behalf Of Chris Sent: Wednesday, June 25, 2003 2:45 PM To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: [Asterisk-Users] Asterisk hardphone I've got Asterisk up and running nicely using a couple of different softphones.
