Queues - Can I PAUSE an agent instead of LOGGING OUT?

Hitting * in a queue call hangs up?
Can anyone explain why when I hit * (as in *2 to transfer) a call that has come to me in a queue asterisk disconnects the call? All I have to do is hit "*" and the call drops.

asterisk queues in off-hook mode ?
Hi, I am looking to configure asterisk queues in off-hook mode, that is, the agent calls into the system and stays connected to this call, when new customer calls, he is redirected to the queue which should distribute to connected agents. is this possible on teh actual app_queue or we would need to implement it using ARI. Queues and macros and agents
When a caller in the queue is connected to an agent, the call is placed to the extension and context specified using Agentcallbacklogin. Queue - how to provide a caller ringing tone when some agent become available
Hi, I'm a little bit stuck with Queue app. I'm putting callers into the queue and have them hear music on hold when all (static) agents are busy. This is easy. But when agent become available I want the caller to hear a ringing tone (with message that his call has been routed to the support representative). Is this somehow doable? Thanks, David

Asterisk Queue Problem - Automatic Call Distribution

trouble recording calls
Hi all, I am having the following trouble with recording calls: When calls come into the support line did number, the call starts to record on the first queue, but appears to hang up when the call actually connects to the engineer (ie I see "got hangup request" on the cli and then mixmonitor ends.) I am guessing this has to do with the announce file that is played to the engineer

1.2.9.1 crashed today
I upgraded to 1.2.9.1 today. It was working fine until after lunch. After running since 8am it stopped around 1pm. People could still call in on our PRI via Zap. But, you couldn't use the dialplan (would just sit there)... the queue went to dead air.. and 'show agents' 'show queues' 'zap show channels' did nothing.. just returned back to the asterisk prompt with no

Queue reload
I've noticed that when app_queue.so is reloaded(or just a reload command is used) that all queue members that were paused are automatically unpaused. Is there a workaround for this? (Note, I use statically defined callback agents). --johann

app_queue and Real roundrobin
Hey guys, i'm wondering if there is any good way to get app_queue working in real roundrobin strategy. The idea is to specify a call list of, lets say, 3 agants. Those agents should always be called in the correct defined order. Members in 'Unknown' status in output of 'queue show'

Polycom Queues
Has anyone integrated Asterisk Queues with Polycom phones? What I'd like to do is display the agent status next to their appearance. I don't see much discussion about this. This is not the same thing as setting <bw>1</bw> against the appearance in the phone directory. Thanks Doug.

Call prority (QUEUE_PRO) in the queues
Suppose I have one agent login into two different queue and there are calls waiting in both queues. If the calls in one queue has higher call prority (set QUEUE_PRO to higher value) than the calls in other queue, will the agent get the higher prority call first or the QUEUE_PRO has no effect? Collect recording before sending to extension or queue
Has anyone does this with *? Ie, ask for the caller's name and provide that to the callee before bridging? For calls to an extension, it should be doable via the dialplan. For calls to queues, some changes would be required to app_queue.c to allow an addional file to be played after the announce message. -JimC

Maximum Queue Name Length
Do queue names have a max length? I have a queue named 'oneeighty_techsupp' in queues.conf, and a 'show queues' returns a truncated queue name.
