Delay when ringing internal extensions on incoming zap call
I have a TDM400P with 2 FXO cards and I'm using Asterisk@Home 2.8 I noticed that when I place a call to the analog lines from outside, Asterisk takes a while to actually ring the extension the call is being sen to. I've been doing some tests, calling from my cellphone and here is what I see... - After the first ring on my cell, Asterisk logs to the CLI that is has an incoming call -

detecting extensions in use
Hi all, We've got a department that has 5 phones using a * 1.0.9 box. They need to have an extension that rings all 5 phones at the same time. Getting all of the phones to ring isn't a problem, but they are running into a problem with the phones ringing in their ears when they are already on a call. Example: Caller one calls the queue, all of the phones rings, and employee one

Call queues - issues, can't make it work.
Hello there I have been struggling with queues, because i think this is the right module for our business. My main goal, is when we receive external calls, the receptionist should be able to transfer the call to us Technicians, and I am trying to add 2 extensions to a queue name [teknisk] Extension 301 and 302. I have a test setup now which I thought should look like this: When a external call

ringing in queues
We use the ringall strategy for a small queue with 4 members. When a call comes in, if one of the members is busy, all the phones except the busy phone rings (as intended). While the other phones are ringing, if this busy phone becomes available again, we would like to have it start ringing. Right now it just sits idle. Is this possible? I played with ringinuse (queues.conf) and callcounter

Agent Penalty
Can anyone shed any light on an issue with agent penalties? I have 2 queues set up with agents working both queues, but where agent 1 should have a penalty for queue 2 and agent 2 should have a penalty for queue 1. When a call is sent to either queue, it rings agents with and without penalties at the same time. I set up a second system and cannot replicate the issue on the test system. I

queue ring delay
Hi, Does a parameter exist for a queue to delay ringing/sending a caller to all agent phones after the previous call is answered by an agent? My queue ring strategy is set to ringall. I am using Polycom KIRK wireless DECT SIP phones. And it looks like the KIRK wireless server may need a split send to realize all wireless phones are no longer ringing (busy) after 1 call rings & is unanswered,

Outside queue members not ringing.
Greetings, I have a very basic equal-weight ring-all queue set up in queues.conf: [sales-queue] ;music = default strategy = ringall periodic-announce-frequency = 20 announce-holdtime = no timeout = 15 maxlen = 0 member => SIP/1xxxxxxxxxx at junction_networks,1 member => SIP/1xxxxxxxxxx at junction_networks,1 member => SIP/dude,1 member => SIP/homie,1 member => SIP/fellow,1 But

Phones don't stop ringing when queue is answered
Hello, I am running Asterisk 11 on CentOS 6.4 with about 150 local SIP clients on a LAN. The SIP clients are a mixture of Yealink phones (e.g SIP-T32G, SIP-T42G, etc). I have configured the system as follows: sip.conf: [169] secret=111111 dtmfmode=rfc2833 directmedia=no directrtpsetup=yes canreinvite=no context=main host=dynamic type=friend port=5060 call-limit=5 nat=force_rport,comedia

Subject: Passing DID to external number?
For the DID's the easiest way for you to trasmit the incoming DID is to create custom extensions for the external numbers that access the external trunk directly. (e.g. they should NOT go to Loca/xxxx. or it will not retain the orignal CID in freepbx- which is effectively how it is being sent when you put xxxxx# in the ring list). As far as why it is only ringing one of your external numbers,

Queue extension issues
I'm stuck on queues! The way I read what documentation I have found, if I set up a queue like this: [general] persistentmembers = yes [testq] musiconhold=default strategy = ringall timeout = 10 retry = 5 context = testing member => SIP/100 and then add into extensions something like this: [incomingiax] exten => 1234,1,Dial(SIP/100,10) exten => 1234,2,Queue(testq|tTH|||300)

call pickup and ring groups
I'm having trouble with call pickups. Suppose ring group is 100 and has extensions 101 and 102. Someone calls 100, 101 rings and 102 wants to pick the call up. If 102 dials **100, call pickup works. If 102 dials **101, call pickup fails. In my dialplan I have: exten => **101,1,NoOp(pickup extension) exten => **101,n,Pickup(101) exten => **101,n,NoOp(pickup group) exten =>

long delay between "Ring Begin" and "SIP/XXX is ringing"
hi all, i have an asterisk install with a digium 4 port fxo card and cisco 7960 sip phones -- running on a compaq Pentium III (Coppermine) at 800Mhz 256KB cache and 1GB of ram. when a call comes in on zap/1-1 for example, the delay between when zap sees the line going to ring state, and when the desktop telephone rings can be as long as 7000 milliseconds (or about 3 or 4 rings on an ear piece).

Simultaneous incoming calls
Hi, This is our test setup: 4 phones, 2 logged into the one queue, the other 2 phones are used to dial into the queue. If there are 2 calls coming into the queue at the same time, we would like to have the 2 queue phones ringing at the same time (one for each call). But as it is, the 2nd phone only starts ringing after the first one was picked up. Scenario: One of the non-queue phones dials

DID to hunt group?
Asterisk 1.4.2 I have spent much of today trying to make a DID (from SIP GW) ring to 4 extensions in a hunt (roll-over) group. Results from searching docs and forums seem to indicate it is doable and so trivial no one includes an actual example. I can make all 4 exts ring at once with the like of exten => _1655,1,Ringing() exten =>

Asterisk Queues and Strategies
I was playing today with the different queueing strategies in queues.conf when I noticed the following behavior. I have 4 agents defined in a queue in queues.conf. These agents login using AgentCallbackLogin. The strategy in the queue is set to leastrecent. I place four calls into the queue and * sends only one call to the least recently used agent. If that agent does not pick up, the

Passing DID to external number?
Hi, We run a small switchboard using Asterisk and Free PBX. We have two main extensions and two ring groups. The first ring group rings the two internal extensions. If the internal extensions do not pick up the call after 15 seconds then the second ring group kicks in which should ring the two internal extensions plus two external numbers. Firstly, how do I pass the DID number of an incoming

queue member refresh
I am experiencing this: 1 - A,B,C are SIP users logged on QUEUEA with ringall strategy 2 - I call QUEUEA 3 - A,B,C start ringing 4 - nobody answer.... 5 - D logs on the QUEUEA 6 - D doen's receive any call, but A,B,C are still ringing How can i avoid that? I'd like that when D joins the QUEUEA it will immediately receive the call that is still ringing on other users... Thanks in

Digium Wildcard TDM400P call pickup timing
I have an analogue trunk to an AT&T Definity. It has a DISA context defined. From a Definity handset call the analogue port extension 1008 and wait for dial tone from asterisk. It takes between 3&4 rings. Likewise from Asterisk SIP handset <PBX Access No><PBX Extn> takes nearly 10 secs to ring. Is this configurable? Ian Cowley -----Original Message----- From:
