Pickup command
I am having a bit of a problem implementing the pickup command in my dial plan. I have setup this rule: exten => _*8XXX,1,Pickup(${EXTEN:2}) This works as expected when someone dials an extensions number and I can get the call. The problem I have is that when a call enters my welcome menu and does not press anything there is a timeout that sends them to the recepcionist. The rule is:

Guys. Anybody using sipuras 2002 knows if there is a way to make the phones connected to it to autodial an extension when the phone is picked up? Need some dialplan help for obscure user request
I have a customer who wants their receptionist to input the users' long distance PINs for the because they use each others pins. I am having trouble coming up with a way to do this because of creating a channel between the user and receptionist, dropping the channel and its variables and creating a new one for the actual long distance call. Newbie Polycom: IP601 console with expansion module
I was reading a Polycom brochure and it appears that there is really no special receptionist console and the console is basically a IP601. Is this correct? The only difference is to purchase an expansion module in order to have more shortcut keys for the girls. So, apart from the hardware, as far as the dialplan is concerned, do I just treat the receptionist console as any other extension? Are

Forwarding calls and trasfer calls
Hi How do i set up so that everyone can dial, for example *21* to forward all calls to a cellphone or another extension and how do I enable so that cals can be transferd between extentions. I set up the Asterisk for my company which is a business center, I will assign a specific telephone number to my client that uses my serivces. All of their incoming calls will be first picked up by the receiptionist, can I disply the company name instead of the called number on my receptionist's telephone display, so that she can answer the call with the right identity at once... Samba 3.2 PDC - Creating Zone Identifier files and not able to read/write/delete them.
Hello, I use a Suse 11.0 as a Samba 3.2 PDC. The clients run XP SP3. I have upgraded a few weeks ago from Suse 10.3 and now all files tranfer that I do - for example, downloading a file using a web browser - it leaves a trash file named "transferd-file:Zone.Identifier" or "tranferd-file:encryptable". The odd thing is that from Windows I can`t read/write/delete these files.

help needed-call recording
Hi, I am trying to change the dialplan to enable call recording (incoming and outgoing calls) on the "click of a button". Is it possible? All the documentation I found so far, enable recording for 'all calls' to an extension. Does this code look ok? Currently Recording "on" only for 1030 when user presses *44, start recording. *55 to stop recording

MixMonitor and command
Has anyone had any success using the MixMonitor() plus "command" as nothing I have tried works. I am using 1.2.1 I did google the archive but couldn't see any mention of anyone using this. What I am hoping to do is run a macro on hangup, current method I am using seems to miss some calls 5% of calls fail to mix / convert to mp3 etc. Was hoping that MixMonitor would fix this.

Simulated dialtone like in other PBX

With an old phone system a receptionist receiving a call has 1 button to push to transfer calls to a specific extension, with Asterisk, a receptionist would actually put the caller on hold, pick up another line, call the extension, ask if the person is available, hang up pick up the caller again and transfer. CallerID problem

Grandstream hold one way audio -URGENT
Hi all, At our customer site i've installed one asterisk server with 20 Grandstream GXP2000's. Firmware 1.0.1.9. When someone dials the customer, the receptionist picks up, and does an attended transfer (the 'grandstream way') to a collegue. Most of the times this goes ok, but sometimes, when the receptionist puts the call on hold, and tries te reconnect to the caller there's
