Sipura SPA-3000 vs Linksys SPA3000
Hallo! I had ordered a Sipura SPA-3000 in the UK, but the supplier turned out to be unreliable and never shipped. Yesterday I went looking for alternative suppliers and found the Linksys SPA3000 device. It's a different box, but the specs look very similar. Is this the same device? Has anyone used this Linksys SPA3000 successfully with Asterisk? Thanks, Frank

Hi, I'm trying to set up Asterisk behind my WRT54GP2 router that has a intergrated ATA box. My box are not locked in any way so I can access and change all settings. Now to the problem... I have gotten Asterisk to register with my provider and everything works just well.. Now it's time to get the intergrated ATA to connect to asterisk. But the asterisk box in located on the LAN ports of

Any experience with Linksys WRT54GP2 as localextensions to Asterisk ?
While we have not been able to get our hands on this model yet (we have the other Linksys models) the Linksys voice products are based on the sipura technologies ATA and will work. I was under the impression that the only shipping WRT54GP2's are provisioned and locked to ATT (for now). Also keep in mind that you must be an ITSP and get authorized by cisco/Linksys to be able to buy all Linksys

Linksys WRT54GP2-NA settings for performance and low bandwidth?
So I'm using a WRT54GP2-NA when I travel, as I travel alot, to give me a phone at my hotel rooms, etc. During the day or late at night the thing works great - best ATA I've ever used. However, in the mid-evening (when many business travellers are at the hotel room doing work), the outgoing audio channel gets so choppy that the person on the other end can't make me out clearly.

anyone from Joplin, MO
I'm trying to convince my employer to deploy an Asterisk based system, but one member of the leadership team is against it. The rest of the team is for it, but he's convinced them that we should find other organisations in the Joplin, MO area who are using Asterisk first because, "we don't want to be the first in our area." I can't fathom how that's relevant, since

Re: Obtaining Cisco Firmware painlessly andLEGITIMATELY?
CDW is not a Gold Cisco partner. I would talk with a group called Shore Group http://www.shoregroup.com I know they do a lot of Cisco VoIP work and can sell you a SmartNet contract no problem. Dealt with IAreaNet before?
I want to see if any of my fellow Asterisk-Users list members have dealt with these guys. I'm a admin for a VOIP provider, and have encountered a few PBX customers that want consulting/support for the IAreaNet provided Asterisk pbxs. These guys are selling AAH servers to the public, and are (at least the techs that I talked to trying to get our service working) not knowledgeable at all.

Problem with incoming calls
Gents, this concerns a CVS-HEAD downloaded today. I configured my system as I usually do, including using allowguest=yes to attempt to correct the following problem, but to no avail. When any call comes in from an external server I get this: Oct 1715:36:43 NOTICE[4040]: chan_sip.c:10774 handle_request_register: Failed to authenticate user "+16143691415" /(this is the number making the

Any reason to *not* use AEL? (Also, MixMonitor q)
I am building a new Asterisk server here at the office, and I'm wondering if there are any downsides to creating my dialplan with AEL. It seems more intuitive (to me), but I'm not sure if there are any pitfalls I need to be aware of first. We use this for internal extensions, 8 pots lines, and our answering service which gets about 500 incoming calls a day down our T1. Also, one more

Re: Obtaining Cisco Firmware painlessly and LEGITIMATELY?
I'm in the UK and have had terrible trouble getting the right contract. After looking on voip-info I set off looking for a vendor only to find that no-one sells the $9 contract. Cisco retracted that one :-( I asked for the equivalent and they said I needed a ?20 contract. I said fine but after 20 minutes or so got a call saying I couldn't have that one as it didn't give me access

Sipura Devices and Asterisk?
I'm currently using the Linksys PAP2, and since there's a shortage I'm looking for different devices. I'm mainly looking at the Sipura SPA sets since they are the base of the pap2. Anyone else have experience using them, and which one? Thanks Sherwood McGowan -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

Escape ''&'' in text_field_with_auto_complete
Good day. I have searched on the net and through the archives to now avail as of yet. I have a text_field_with_auto_complete that searches for company names. These company names obviously can have an ''&'' in the name of the company (example Barnes & Nobel). The auto complete works beautifully. However, the problem arises when I pass the name of the company to the

is wine's ASPI suitable for firmware update?
Hi, I have a PHILIPS CD-RW/DVD-ROM SCB5265 and I have problems reading of some DVDs. I found two different firmware updates which contains .exe files: TD17 (5/1/2007): http://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/PHILIPS-SCB5265-TD17.zip TD19 (12/13/2005): http://ftp.us.dell.com/rmsd/SCB5265_fwTD19.zip If I set up the IDE SCSI emulation, the firmware updater can recognize my CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. # rmmod ide-cd

When someone helps you, at least let them know if the problem is resolved or not
I'll keep this brief because I don't want to come across like any more of an a$$ than I absolutely have to, especially since I know I've blown my stack before..... Gentlemen (and Ladies, if you're out there), If someone gives you advice on this list, and ESPECIALLY if they give you advice offlist, have the courtesy to (AT THE LEAST) to let them know when/if you get your question
