We have legitimately obtained these phones but even our official distributor can't get their hands on updated firmware. I have a couple of Polycom phones, bootrom 2.5.0, SIP 1.3.1.0056. Works great with Asterisk when I power on the phone. However, after some time, say an hour, I cannot receive calls on this phone. On Asterisk, when I do "database show", it does show the phone in there, but it cannot reach the phone. Is there a way to keep alive the connection with Polycom? Any suggestions? Thanks, --

Anyone else have problems with soft buttons not being responsive at all? 2 of the 4 soft buttons do not respond, no matter how hard you push. It is an IP500. Howdy - I've been noticing a problem where I only receive a single call, before other calls go to voicemail. This only happens when the user is on the phone. I have the polycom 501's setup for 2 lines per key and 2 line keys for the first registration, which should allow for multiple calls. Anybody have any ideas what is going on? thanks Rolf Brusletto

Hi List, Not sure if this is the place for this so here goes ... We have a number of Polycom 501's connected to our * box and they work great. Some of our users have added a few entries into the directory on the phone. The problem is on those particular phones they now sometimes get "resource full" on the phone when accessing the directory. No central directory was configured.

Did you try to boot without lan just the power ...
