Wanting to Make a PocketPC have a secure Connection to asterisk server
Does anyone know of a good solution to create a secure (encrypted) connection from a pocketpc (IPAQ 6515 in my case) to an asterisk server? Looking for inexpensive phone to use with Asterisk with message light and a button that will let me play new messages
I'm wanting to have a phone at home next to the garage door that when my bride comes home, she can see that there is a new message, push a button and have the messages played to her. Otherwise, she will not let me install asterisk on my home line. Can someone suggest relatively inexpensive hardware that will do this for me (us)? Thanks, -Peter

Asterisk Voicemail with ODBC Realtime Access
Hi I was trying to have realtime voicemail working with ODBC Driver. Everything works fine with MySQL Realtime access, BUT as I want to implement ODBC Storage as well, it seems that everything should go through ODBC ( what I read on voip-info wiki page ) But I do not manage to make it work with ODBC. Outside Asterisk, ODBC works fine, I can access my databases & tables ! Asterisk fails to

cran@ci.tuwien.ac.at is not responding?
Hi, I have submitted a package to CRAN in ftp://ftp.tuwien.ac.at/incoming/pastecs_1.0.tar.gz. The R extension manual advises to send a mail to cran at ci.tuwien.ac.at about it, but it fails. I have also tried WWWadmin at ci.tuwien.ac.at. Are these email adresses still valid? Best, Philippe Grosjean ...........]<(({?<...............<?}))><............................... ) ) ) )

lrm-function: Interpretation and error message
I have a set of data that is not normally distributed and for which I need to build a model. So, I tried the lrm function from the design-package. The first run went well, and I got the following results: Wald Statistics Response: RVCL2PROC.mott Factor Chi-Square d.f. P TTV.mott (Factor+Higher Order Factors) 69.01 4

icecast.conf and wwwadmin
I recently installed for the first time: icecast latest version: 1.3.12 ices latest version: 0.2.3 Things are moving along pretty well. Found out that I needed libxml-devel as well as the regular libxml to get the ices XML conf file read. Otherwise, functionality is great. CPU usage is low and Im very happy. My question is... the docs say I need to set the http_admin to 1 to allow access to web

RE: Wanting to Make a PocketPC have asecureConnection to asterisk server
I'm wanting both the voice and the configuration to be secure. (very secure). I don't care if it is SIP or IAX but I do need a softphone on the pocketpc I can use. I'd appreciate if you could take a look this weekend for me. List etiquette question
I''ve written a little ruby/rails hangman-ish app to keep my wife occupied at work that I think list members might also find interesting. I''m new to this list so I wanted to see if it would be considered bad form to post the link before I did. There aren''t any ads so I''m not getting anything out of more visitors, but I still didn''t want to take the

R: Some libraries and ideas for a 'librarified' R
Well, I think the better solution would be to put them on the web: I tried to open two web pages but I forget the possword every time :-(. I see 2 quick solutions: - send the files via e-mail - put the files on CRAN (where?); However I can do these in 2-3 days only (I have sources home). how to configure my asterisk@home 1.0.9 to do call forwarding ?
Hello everyone The PBX is connected using 4 Line FXO card to the PSTN. I wish to send calls that come to extension X to an external phone number, i.e. call the comes from Line1 would go out using Line{2,3,4}. I wish the user that the extension belongs to him be able to set it. Can this be done ? Can it be done from the user's phone (Sipura 841) ? Can I as the wwwadmin user set it ? Thank

Ruby hangman (was Re: List etiquette question)
"Beast" is more appropriate than you know. It''s definately Frankenstein code. (read: it ain''t pretty, but it works - some of the time). Anyway, it entertains my wife; not sure if hardcore programmers will get anything out of it or not. You might find it interesting (or pointless) that in a complete bastardization of rails'' main reason for being it

Home directories
Hi all. YAP (Yet Another Problem). I recently posted about the correct way to deal with encrypted vs nonencrypted passwords. I've gotten that to work, but I don't think its correct. So I'd still appreciate any ideas. Now my problem is I can browse the list of shares, but can't use any of them. This is NT4, Linux 2.0.31-pre9, samba-1.9.17p1. No SP3 patch applied. I

Re: problem posting to r-help list
You are using the wrong make. Please read the instructions very carefully. You _must_ use the cygwin make with the supplied Makefiles. As INSTALL says: You will also need suitable versions of at least make, sh, rm, sed, (g)awk, mkdir, echo, cp, cut, diff, grep, egrep, pwd, expr and cat; we use those from the cygwin distribution (http://sourceware.cygnus.com/cygwin and several
