Asterisk friendly VoIP providers
I am thinking of dumping broadvoice so I need some other VoIP providers that
have a las vegas DID and a service better than broadvoice.

Re: X100P problems
Yes - the problem was a missing signalling line in zapata.conf. Now in
and out work.
Also, it was news that "reload" from the console doesn't reflect changes
made in zaptel and zapata.conf entries. Any other config files that it
doesn't reload?

Dear all,
I have tried a lot of things to make broadvoice work with asterisk , but I

Please suggest a good service providers that I can use with asterisk for
outbound and inbound calls.

Who's happy with their voip service?
I started out happy as a clam with my new Broadvoice account and
asterisk machine. About 10 days ago things began to change. Inbound
calling has been down for 2 days. Beyond the "We are currently
experiencing in-bound call issues with a carrier partner in some areas.
We are aware of the issue and our engineers are working to have it
resolved as soon as possible" mantra their

Restricting outgoing calls by extension / Multiple providers
The situation is that I want to have certain extensions that can only call nationwide and others that can make international calls (with a different provider). I suppose, you could also see this as a scenario that could involve multiple internal extensions that get matched to specific outbound trunks.
I have tried to find appropriate commands in the Asterisk documentation, but could find nothing

IAX outgoing redundancy
Hello.
I am having an issue where sometimes the cheapest provider for certain
international destinations is not always reliable in completing calls.
However, there is not problem once the call is made (i.e. no lag or echo
or anything). The way I have it set up right now (for example) for Dar
es Salaam, Tanzania is:
exten => _925522XX.,1,Dial(IAX2/livevoip/011${EXTEN:1})

Live Voip
Hi all,
Before I setup an account with them, I'd like to hear other people's
impression of LiveVoip. I'm considering using them for 800 numbers, and
I'd like to feel comfortable that others here on the list have had good
experiences with them.
Thanks, sorry if this is the wrong list for this. :)

Problems with incoming calls
Hi Everyone,
I have a DID number with livevoip, but I have been experiencing two
problems that I can't seem to resolve. I am not sure if they are in any
way related. I have other DIDs with iax sixtel but I do not have that
problem. Livevoip seem to think that the problem might be with my
configuration. Can someone help me figure out this problem please.
1) When an incoming call to my

Can only call VoIP SIP Providers (Weird)
I'm using Asterisk 1.0.4 with AMP and Broad Voice.
I have that with only 5 XTen Lite phones.
I'm able to call / etc with internal phones just fine.
I can call outside Vonage Numbers, and other
BroadVoice Numbers. I have vonage where I live (626)
and can call that fine. However, other 626 numbers I
get similar errors as below.
However, everytime, I try to call cell phones, and or

VOIP Providers Problems
you guys are so friggin funny..
all i see bout problems on most providers here are users who never
read a line of the handbook
i could prolly solve all these eyes closed with the asterisk handbook
on my side as a friend.
wake up..
i work for a hosting provider and we get lots of users assuming they
have it all right and us is the problem. and in fact 99% of the time
they are the ones who

Re: [Asterisk-biz] Livevoip U.S. 800 LNP Starts March 9th 2005
Mike,
No they have not. Calls are failing again today. They have offered to
refund my money but that does not solve the problem. My asterisk server
is only 4 to 12 ms away from their "network". I have had VERY good luck
with nufone.(40 to 45ms away) Only have 1 or 2% fail rate. Going to be
calling txlink.net on Monday.
Seems that LiveVoIP does not care about asterisk users. They like

recommended IP phones and VoIP providers?
Can anyone give me some recommendations for IP phones that work well with Asterisk?
I'm hoping for something not much more then $100 bux or so.
Also does vonage service work directly through Asterisk or would I have to use their hardware? Or are there any other suggestions for a VoIP
provider?
Thanks for the help!

VoIP Provider problems
Hello all,
We recently configure an asterisk server to use with an VoIP provider
to make calls to a PSTN. We use (voipjet, nufone, diamond....)
We feel that we haven't got the quality that we hope. Sometimes our
calls gets mute, or we feel communication cuts on our phone calls.
We have got an QOS router (Draytek) reserving 1/2 of our wideband to
the SIP an IAX2 protocols, and an ADSL line

sending traffic to LiveVoip
I have several DIDs (working well) with LiveVoip and I just signed up for
some outbound minutes. Unfortunately they did not send connection
instructions.
I tried:
exten =>
_1NXXNXXXXXX,2,Dial(IAX2/userid:password@217.160.244.186/${EXTEN}|60|s)
but I get the error

LiveVoip is Bankrupt
So it looks like Livevoip went Bankrupt

It seems it is their policy not to answer.
FYI info I tried to get an account with them a week ago. I did not get
any information how to setup, just that they cashed my credit card.

More *@Home puzzle
Is there a configuration difference for clone X100P cards versus
"compatible"? I have a similar problem to what David Shaw posted earlier
today. 0.5 installed OK, but mine just with one X100P clone. Default
config files, edited zapata.conf per the FAQs so it includes the line
channel => 1
without the semicolon.
Any outgoing call attempt returns "all circuits are busy"

Livevoip 800 Choppy Audio
I just signed up with livevoip for 800 DID and have very choppy audio. From
PSTN to my asterisk is ok but
asterisk to PSTN is terrible. I am using IAX and was assigned to server
iax01.nyc.*. I do not believe it is
a bandwidth problem on my end and I have no problems using iax with
gafachi. I opened a ticket with
livevoip but no response yet. Would I be better off using sip with them? Is

VoIP service through Asterisk?
Greetings. I did some digging with Google, the wiki, and on the
archives, but didn't find a recent conclusive answer. If this is
answered in the wiki or archives somewhere, please point me to it.
I'm in the process of setting up an Asterisk box for home use. I've got
a X100P card on the way. I've not decided what analog adapter(s) to get
yet. The only phone service to hook up
