Hi, I'm trying to get Asterisk to connect to Vonage (softphone acct) to allow me to place and receive calls. I have successfully configured Asterisk to route inbound calls and send them to the correct extension, but I can't get outbound calls to work. I have an IVR application that works fine from multiple DID sources, unless the call to that DID was from a Vonage service user. In this case about half the DTMF tones never get recognized by Asterisk. Has anyone else seen this? Suggestions? I'm running 1.0.9.

In speaking with someone the other day, they advised they thought there was a way to make a SIP or softphone (gnophone) go straight out to the vonage network through asterisk. The Vonage service is offered with a SIP Cisco ATA device for connection to an analog phone. Is it possible to connect the Vonage service directly to the Asterisk PBX bypassing the ATA and FXO card?
