Placing Asterisk between existing PBX and PSTN
Hi,
I've read through the Asterisk handbook and I'd just like clarification
from someone that's implemented the above before. Lets imagine I want to
use the CallingCard application and don't want to tell a client to buy a
channelbank (the analog extensions are too many to connect to FXS cards),
I figure I could set them up as below:

Interconnecting two lans using Asterisk over a PSTN
Hello,
I am a newbie in Asterisk IP PBX but I am very impressed by its
functionalities.
I have read that It can work over IP network and across the PSTN.
I am not very sure how it works over the PSTN..
In case if people have not yet the Internet or SDL access, I would like just to
know if it is possible to interconnect two IP LANs using the traditionnal
analog Network and Asterisk PBX? In such I

Asterisk and call delivery to connected PABX
Hello all!
I'm VERY new in using VoIP. I'm looking for any tip or trick to connect a
physically PABX behind an Asterisk-System(or similar) via an SIP to Analog-
or ISDN-Converter. The point is, I _need_ to deliver calls to extensions in
the connected PABX directly (in ISDN-speech "DDI" (DirectDialIn)) without
intervention of an operator. Is this technically possible, and if

PABX & VOIP Gateway
Hello,
I'm researching the possibility of using VOIP (SIP) with an existing
PABX system. Ideally, the setup would be to dial an outside line through
the PABX (that would actually link to the the VOIP gateway).
At this point I would prefer not to purchase a hardware-based VOIP
gateway. I would prefer to use a software-based gateway for research &
testing purposes. Could anyone please

Best way to connect asterisk to an traditional PBX
Hi list,
we want to connect asterisk to an traditionnal PBX (EADS 6550/Matra).
People from telco told that they can't connect two PBX's using E1/T1 or
only with QSig signaling.
I wanted to use EuroISDN. In this case, it was me told that VN6-VN7
would be used. The PBX has a spare ADQ card installed on which we would
connect. Has someone a such working setup? Is it working well?

SPA-3000 call pickup behind a PABX
Hi Folks,
I am running a SPA-3000 behind a legacy PABX on an analog line.
I have been able to set up a dial plan that sends outgoing calls out
to the appropriate VSP depending on prefix, and that part and the
incoming call handling works fine.
I am now trying to implement call pickup (dial 6*) or manual call
forwarding (flash, dial extension).
On the first of these I have worked out how to get

Problem with Asterisk + TDM410 FXO
Hi
I am in the middle of move a small business over from legacy PABX + PSTN
lines to VOIP infrastructure.
I borrowed a spa9000 to place between the PABX and the PSTN lines. I
have had this going for a while (>5 months) and it has been working fine
(some issues with echo and other minor things), which is why I am moving
to asterisk.
I bought a tdm410 with 3 fxo + fxs. The fxs is connected to

how to manage Digium TDM04B outgoing calls correctly
I'm installing my first Asterisk server. I have a TDM04B card installed
in my asterisk server (4x FXO ports). I have 5 Cisco IP phone 7960

working as expected meaning anyone calling on one of the 4 FXO ports is
answer by asterisk and asked to enter the extension of the person to

Newbie Questions . . .
Hello all.
My company currently has an older Executone PBX system that we are outgrowing.
Rather than wait until the last minute to make a hasty decision, I thought it
would be a good idea to do some research and compare options first. My
expertise is in computers and networking, and telephony systems are mostly
foreign to me.
What we currently have are 5 incoming POTS lines and 25

PABX Setup
Hi,
We are trying to port over a PABX to our network. Both PRI's seem to be
live however, whenever someone dials out from the PABX Asterisk happens to
report :
-- Extension '' in context 'samsungincoming' from '736327438' does not
exist. Rejecting call on channel 0/31, span 2
If crc4 is turned off, it reports a yellow alarm. Any suggestions?

TDM400P GroundStart Problems
Hello,
I am having problems configuring a TDM400P 4 Port FXO card with
groundstart signalling. The box has 2 X100P's, 1 TDM04B and 1 TDM40B. I
can configure it for loopstart and it works, just not groundstart, which I
need for this installation. What am I missing?
Thanks!

Operating queues with clients on a legacy PABX
Hi guys!
I'm having one or two issues with queues hosted by an Asterisk machine
where the clients are on a legacy PABX - at least for the interim. I
fully expect most of these issues to be non-resolvable, but thought I'd
at least ask to find out if there is some way of working around the
issues. The legacy PABX is an NEC 7400 ICS connected to Asterisk via an
E1 ISDN link. Calls are

Sangoma A200D analog card with fxo's
FYI...
Just installed one of the new Sangoma A200D analog pstn cards with the
hardware echo canceller on a trial basis. The card has four fxo interfaces.
Excellent audio quality, excellent echo cancelling, and excellent audio
levels.
The four pstn lines at this location are rather long analog loops that
have rather long echo trails. I started with a pair of x100p's a couple

Linking Asterisk 1.8 to late model Samsung PABX over PRI - transfer issues
Hi all
I've got a setup where I use a Sangoma PRI card driven via Sangoma WanPipe
to connect to a legacy Samsung PABX (I'm not sure which model) form Asterisk
1.8.11.0.
The reason is the customer has a large installed base of Samsung phones
physically connected to it and on each users desk. They did not want to
spring for a complete replace of all their Samsung phones with generic, and

Asterisk as plain PABX in call centre
Hi all,
I've been lurking here and reading the Wiki for a month or so now,
getting information on the suitability of Asterisk for my
installation.
I'm responsible for the technical stuff at a mostly-inbound call
centre in Melbourne, Australia. Due to our rapid expansion, it's
getting close to the time to put our old beloved Fujitsu 9600 PABX out
to pasture. I'm evaluating
