Call Queue: strategies and penalties
All,
For the last 10 months, I've been using strategy=ringall. This has worked
fine and did what I wanted, but at this point, I'm needing to implement a
'penalty' or delay for some members of the call queue.

3: level-2 support (glorified flunkies)
4: level-3 support (super flunkies)

RE:mandrake linux install of zaptel
Extreme N00b, I am getting the error message "a target does not exist" when
running the make install inside the zap directory, probably pretty common,
possibly a package I didn't install, just need some insight on it. The same
occurs with the libpri and asterisk.

Queues and penalties
Hi All
I have been looking at this problem for a few days/weeks now and after some
advice please.
I currently have a customer on 11.25.3 and I am in the process of upgrading
versions and OS (Debian) and all things that involves mysql -> PDO etc
The problem I have is the customer want a simple call distribution like this
Extn 1001, 1002, 1003 to be called on an incoming call - if they

Queue Penalties not working properly
Hi,
I am using Asterisk 1.4.18. I am implementing Penalties for my agents.
What is happening: two agents configuired one agent with penalty 1 and
the other with penalty 2. All the calls must go first to Agent 1 and if
his line is busy then only then agent 2 will get the call. However my
queues are not behaving in this manner. I have impmemnted ringall
strategy. Now when first call comes it

scaling of nonbinROC penalties
Dear R Helpers
I am having difficulty understanding how to use the penalty matrix for the nomROC function in package 'nonbinROC'.
The documentation says that the values of the penalty matrix code the
penalty function L[i,j] in which 0 <= L[i,j] <= 1 for
j > i. It gives an example that if we have an ordered response with 4 categories, then we might wish to penalise larger

Agent penalties and busy status
Hi all,
When implementing a queue using members like this:
[queue]
strategy => rrmemory
member => Agent/1000,1
member => Agent/1001,1
member => Agent/1002,2
member => Agent/1003,2
member => Agent/1004,2
And you call into the queue, agents 1000 and 1001 will ring in an alternating
fashion until one of them answers it. You might have seen my question coming
already, so I

Penalties for agents
Hello again list.
I have gotten some indications that the penalties for agents in Asterisk
might not work as intended. Can I get peoples view on this that uses the
penalty function in Asterisk Queues?
Thanks in advance
Best regards,
Tobias

Queues and penalties
Hi John
This works fine providing extensions 1001,1002 and 1003 are "Incall" or
"Paused" - the problem appears to be that is a handset say 1002 is "ringing"
then the 2xxx then the penalty is not honoured.
This is well described in the History section of the following link
https://wiki.freepbx.org/display/PPS/lazymembers+patch+to+app_queue
As I say this seems to

Setting call forward for Agent's in a Queue
Hi!,
I'm trying to set up a Queue (which works fine now :-)
Sip clients can login in to the Queue with dialing 91 on there phone.
And as soon as there are customers the Queue calls the agents back.
I would like that the queue calls the agents also if it's phone is
call-forwarded.
With agents (sip clients) are added with the following extensions:
exten => 91,1,AddQueueMember(myqueue)

Bizarre Answering Behavior
Ok, I've been trying to figure out why my A@H won't answer the lines when I can call out and the panel shows the call coming in - well something bizarre has happened.
I set up inbound routing to ring my extension if a call comes in - and my extension rings but when I pick it up I get a dial tone. The whole time after I answer I hear the phone I originated the call on just ring and ring

voicemail instructions
Hi,
I've been playing with Voicemail and Voicemail2 a bit for my users, and
there are a few things I'm wondering about:
- We can specify parameters to the mailbox (s, b or u) to select which
prompts to play. However, if we specify 'b' or 'u' it plays that
(customisable) message, but it also plays the voicemail instructions. For
the dutch, it is customary that a user

[Asterisk-Dev] Asterisk not accepting multiple SIP phone logins
Hi all,
I have Asterisk running on FreeBSD 4.x and I have made configurations to

3RD REQUEST - Any Help Is Appreciated
Is there a protocol I'm supposed to use here? It seems that people are asking 100 questions a day and SOMEONE is helping them, and I've posted this three times and not even an "I Don't Know".
My third repost:

exited non-zero
I've been beating myself up over this script but clearly I'm missing
something. If I enter an extension like 101 it rings through fine,
but if I pick 2 for sales it hangs up with this message:
== Spawn extension (sales, s, 1) exited non-zero on `Zap/1-1'
Since I'm not sure what that exacly means I cannot take appropriate
action. Any help would be appreciated.

Queues and Agent penalty - how to go to second best agent when the first does not answer
Hi,
I've been playing with agent penalties (Asterisk 1.6.2.16). I've set up
multiple agents, and as documented agents with the lowest penalty value get
called first. The issue I have is that if the agent with the very lowest
penalty does not answer, instead of going with to the second best agent the
queue rings the same agent over and over and over again.
I've realized that

Whoah! My E400P system went AWOL
Hi,
I came back from a quiet weekend today and found my E400P box to have gone
astray. Asterisk is loaded from inittab, and started crashing and reloading
a couple of thousands of times, each time notifying my monitoring service :-P
I remember there would be issues on old cvs stuff since the crash at digium
so I made a clean checkout just now.
Here is what happens when I load manually:

Queue help: Extending RRMEMORY strategy to use penalty
Hi, all. I'm checking in about an issue that has been mentioned here a
few times, but to which I can't seem to find a solution for a very
present need.
The summary is that we'd like to have a queue that rings logged-in
agents in the same order every time, based on penalty, in a way that
continuously escalates the attempts to the next penalty level until all
agents have been tried.
