Strange Fromuser behavior?
Strange things are happening at my asterisk box :) I've got asterisk setup to dail out with sip to my SIP provider. I've got NO fromuser/fromdomain stuff setup in my sip.conf When I place a call with my Siemens Optipoint 400 SIP phone everything is allright, the From: header is stating the username of the Siemens phone. When I place a call with X-Lite the From: header is altered and reads

Can't hear playtones?
Hello, I would like the dialing party to know what happened to the call, since asterisk doesn't relay a sip error back to the originating sip channel (would be nice, a if (org_channel = sip && dst_channel = sip, relay error to sip client) I want to set up audio feedback on the call status. I've changed the county setting to NL in indications.conf and created this test

Call back when no longer busy
Hello, I'm trying to implement a function available on the PSTN net here, if you dial a number which is busy and you press 5, you will be called back when the busy party hangs up. Figuring out if a SIP user is busy isn't to hard, ${DIALSTATUS} produces a BUSY message, however, how can I implement the call back? IE, I dial to extension 712, but that extension is busy, I dial 5 and

Xen on OpenSSI?
Any thoughts on running Xen on OpenSSI? We have an app we''d like to cluster but is expressly and completely incompatible with the OSes that OpenSSI are supported on, but if we can run several Xen domains on a cluster we can run those OSes and, naturally, that app. Thoughts? [OT] External RAID storage / NAS
Hello List, I need storage for my home network - lots of storage. It's going to hold pictures, home movies, music, other bits of data, etc. I'm looking to start at about 500 GB, but I'd need to eventually grow that to 1 TB, or more. I also want something that is quiet, has hot swappable drives (not necessary, but a plus), is fairly easy to manage, and can be directly attached to

Asterisk + SER and NAT
Hi, We are testing a SIP solution * + ser solution for a large implementation. All the clients are nated. When a client is dialing outside the domain (to a FWD sip account for example) all is perfect ! ;-) But ,when a call is done to a sip account, the client is ringing, then the caller can hear the nated client very well, but the nated client does'nt hear anything. RTP issue no ? I've

SER -> Asterisk voicemail on busy/unavailable. Anyone did it? (googling says NO)
Hello all! I googled lists.digium.com and ser mailing list, but did not find any working configuration of asterisk used as voicemail for SER. This is my config if (uri==myself) { if (method=="REGISTER") { save("location"); log (1, "Registered\n"); break; };

why won;t my voice files play?
I just recompiled my version from this morning's CVS Head. My systems voice files (voicemail, time etc) were playing nicely. Until that is I added an extension and now the files won't play. Worse than that, * thinks the files have played and goes to the next step in the dial plan. What gives? -- Mark, G7LTT/KC2ENI Randolph, NJ http://www.g7ltt.com

Toll-Free Gateway Beta Test: freenum.org
The freenum.org beta continues to roll forward. If you have an Asterisk or SER SIP gateway/proxy, please see if you can make some sense of the examples below and install them in your system. Your users will hopefully be able to dial toll free numbers in various nations just like they dial regular numbers in those same country codes. I'd like to get some additional people trying to make

winbindd or nss issue?
Hi *, I spent two days to try to solve the following problem without success... (google, archives, ...) Platform: RedHat 9 (OpenSSI cluster) with Samba 3.0.6. SMP, Single System Image clustering, multithreading
Hi All, I have looked through the following thread: http://tolstoy.newcastle.edu.au/R/help/02b/4551.html and would like to ask after 1.5 year the same question: Are there any plans to involve multithread computations in R? Few word about my motivation: I use R on my OpenSSI cluster with 7 CPUs, so one could simply think of this cluster as of single computer with 7 CPU. My

[PATCH supermin] init: Delete initramfs files before chrooting into the appliance.
After supermin has finished running, the initramfs files sit around occupying swappable memory but serving no further purpose. This saves a little memory, at the cost of about 1ms of extra boot time. --- init/init.c | 50 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++-- 1 file changed, 48 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-) diff --git a/init/init.c b/init/init.c index 733d66e..5ac53e9 100644 ---
