dtmf tone clamping in calls to external ivr
Hello, I'm having trouble working out how to send DTMF tones to an external IVR. My system has an analog phone connected to a TDM400P card, a SIP software phone (Zultys LIPZ4) and is connected to a BRI in Australia with a NETjet-S card. I'm using ISDN4Linux and a 2.4.25 kernel patched with the ISDN audio patch from Traverse (which allows the card to do voice). DTMF works fine between

ISDN BRI hardware
Hi, Anybody have lots of experience with PCI ISDN cards and Asterisk? I'm thinking of getting a BRI in my house to deliver more advanced signaling to my PBX (yes, I'm a geek :-)) but I've never played with isdn4linux. Is there any particular BRI card that works better with Asterisk than any other? Also, can the BRI interface cards participate in conference, etc., since they

ISDN, AVM C4, HFC-cards and echo
Hello, I've been using * for quite a while using AVM C4 card and a few Grandstream Budgetone 102 hard phones plus couple of HandyTone 286. Echo is a big problem. I am getting used to it, but some users complain. Anyone has experience w/ regards to echo comparing the AVM C4 with two HFC-cards? Before shelling out time and money, maybe someone else already has done so, and could tell me if

Where to purchase ISDN (BRI) cards in Australia (preferably)
Hello all, I was wondering if anybody knows where one might obtain a PCI ISDN card supporting a single BRI for use with Asterisk in Australia (and using something like chan_capi). Because of the Isdn4Linux DTMF issue, I don't want one of those cards. I've already spent too much time messing about with my current card. I'm after something like the AVM Fritz! cards. I found one place

best ISDN BRI solution for DID
I want to test asterisk with its DID functions on a smaller scale without the expense of a PRI. I am in the US, and want the most reliable/stable, and feature rich solution that I can have. What ISDN card would be reccommended? My clec switch operator says he can/will send DID info to my BRI's if I wish. Can Asterisk, or one of its addons support this? What BRI solution would be

callgroup and callwaiting for IAX clients
Hi Gurus. I searched the lists, wiki and the rest of the web but I still do not understand this. My Setup is as follows: [ISDN via chan_capi or IAX2 DiD Provider] => [* PBX] => [IAX2 Clients (Atcom AT-320ED)] I want to get callgroup/pickupgroup and callwaiting working on the IAX phones. Some web sources told me that this was not implemented, others say that the phone has to handle

isdn, modem, etc.
I see many posts about using ISDN cards and modem cards. Does this mean I can use a regular modem (that supports voice) as an FXS, or FXO ? If so, can you provide an example. It might be the easiest way to test Asterisk's collaboration with the PSTN (or analog phones) and provide proof of concept to non-believers. Thanks. Shoval -------------- next part

* & ISDN-BRI-PTP & DID & ISDN4Linux does not show incoming number
Hi, I am using Asterisk on a DSS1 ISDN-BRI with ISDN4Linux (and a Fritz Card PnP). The ISDN-BRI is in PTP-Mode (Point to Point "german: Anlagenanschluss") which is enabled within I4L with "hisaxctrl fcpcipnp0 7 1". Everything works fine except that I can not see the called number/MSN of incoming calls within Asterisk and because of this I can not route incoming calls

Anyone using National ISDN (NI-1) BRI under Linux?
I have a North American BRI configured as National ISDN (NI-1) on an SBC (Nortel?) switch. SBC calls this "FastTrak ISDN", and it's surprisingly inexpensive -- less than two POTS lines. I've been trying to find an inexpensive PCI interface solution to connect this to Asterisk as voice lines. I prefer ISDN BRI over POTS lines because of the improved signalling, fast dialing,

Incoming Fax Service question
Hi Everyone. Some time ago, I was told that it's possible to implement an incoming Fax server with extensions using only one PSTN line, like this: PSTN number: 1234567, that's the line connected, FAX numbers like: 1234567-00, 1234567-01, 1234567-02 and so on are routed to their respective recipients. I do not want real DID (which would mean buying a bunch of numbers from the telco,
