ADIT 600 & CMG <=> Asterisk question
I've searched but can't find an answer as to how many MGCP paths can a
single ADIT/CMG card support? It appears it's only 24 ports, maybe 48.
What I'd like to do is install 6 Telco T1's into a single (or more) Adit
600 and route inbound calls towards asterisk. Can I have more than one
CMG in a single chassis?
Or maybe you know of a better way to connect T1's to

ADIT 600 <=> Asterisk Help
I've been reading the Google searches trying to understand how to tie
together Adit 600 to Asterisk to provide 2 way service. I'm about blind
from reading.
I assume, the answer is using MGCP between the boxes. However, the examples
I found don't really explain fully enough to know how to modify examples to
work for me.
I'll have in the ADIT with T1's. There is a CMG and

Adit 600
Has anyone had any success using the Adit 600 with the CMG card talking
MGCP to asterisk? I want to have a central asterisk server with 10 Adit
600's at various locations providing 24 FXS ports....
Thanks,

Adit 600 as VoIP router (MGCP) and Asterisk
Got at suggestion from CarrierAccess to use the Adit 600 as an VoIP router using MGCP IP protocol, instead of controlling it through an E1.
Have anyone tried this configuration? How does MGCP works? I've tried to search for it on Google, but I only find the protocol specification for it.
Is Asterisk fully capable of this? I can't find any documentatin covering the use of MGCP in Asterisk.

No translator path exists for channel type MGCP & Comfort noise support incomplete
ONLY ON MONDAY!
Well it used to work - calls between my aaln's that is. I moved from debain to redhat (same conf. files for asterisk) and this is what I get.. looks like several errors. errors I never got before. Also asterisk isn't observing the digits as I dial them like it used to however it still trys to route the call when I'm finished dialing. Anyone with a though on this?

Adit 600 MGCP configuration
I've finally got my Adit 600 and are configuring it right now.
But I have to say, there aren't much documentation for it.
I've setup MGCP and Asterisk seems to find it.
But all channels (40 FXS channels) are "Down"!
But the MGCP itself is "Up" according to the statistics.
I can't find any documents how to set each channel to "Up" in the CLI.

changes in behaviour of Rcmd SHLIB since 2.4.0
Dear all,
I have some C code using the zlib uncompress. It compiles fine under Win XP
(with SP2) with R up to 2.3.1 and generates four files (Makedeps, *.d,
*.dll, and *.o):
C:\Data\R-packages\cmg>rcmd SHLIB cmg.c -o cmg.dll
latex: not found
making cmg.d from cmg.c
gcc -IC:/PROGRA~1/R/R-2.3.1/include -Wall -O2 -c cmg.c -o cmg.o

ADIT TDM T1 <> Asterisk MGCP
I have this idea to use an old ADIT 600 with a CMG card to convert two T1
TDM circuits to MGCP towards asterisk. The basics I've found on the net,
but there is not much available.
I've cut and pasted the mgcp.conf details I could find, but there not much
as far as CMG setup.
I was hoping I could hook-up with someone that's tried this so I could pick
your brain about the finer

Channel bank replacement
Hello,
I am working for a charity in the UK and I am projecting a new phone system.
We would like to connect our two-wire telephones (40 or so) to an ADIT
600 channel bank, and connect that into an Asterisk box via the CMG card
or T1 card.
I have been in talks with Carrier Access about the purchase of a new
channel bank and we tried to get a minor version of it first for testing
with the

IP FXS channel bank
Hi there,
I'm trying to get hold of an evaluation IP-enabled FXS channel bank. I'm not
sure if it's more a channel bank, or should be called a multiport-ATA. Oh well.
On the surface it looks quite nice - 16 FXS ports, and since it's connected to
the network I can do away with an E1/T1 connection required of the normal
channel banks (if it can be called that :)
Here are some

Adit 600 over MGCP.
Hi,
Anybody out there running Adit600s?
I have in my care an Adit600 channel bank connected to an old (version
1.0.6) Asterisk instance with MGCP. When trying a more recent Asterisk
(1.4.21.2~dfsg-3+lenny1, Stock current Debian) calls fail.
I have attempted to add the "slowsequence = yes" line to mgcp.conf. (It
seemed to be the only likely candidate in the example files I found

4+ Port FXS Analog Device
I'm looking for an inexpensive way to connect 20 analog phones to
asterisk. I could get a bunch of Linksys or Sipura boxes but was
wondering if there is a more cost effective way? I came across the
Mediatrix 1104 and even the Mediatrix 1124 but that comes out to be
almost $100/port. I might as well buy inexpensive IP phone. Does
anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,

Rhino Channel Bank or ADIT 600
I am forklifting a Merridian option 51c with 112 Nortel Digital Handsets
and 400 analog units. For the analog units I have quotes for 9 ADIT 600
48 port fxs units and 17 Rhino 24 port FXS channel banks. I have used
neither. Which is the best choice? The price difference is not that
great. I am looking at Citelinks 24 port Handset Gateway for the Nortel
Digital units. (Any other suggestions

ShoreTel 210 MGCP phone drops calls with MGCP RSIP
I've got a ShoreTel 210 MGCP phone drops calls. My packet
capture indicates that the phone may be trying to renew its registration
with *, but reports Restart Method of Disconnected (frame 2), then *
seems to take that as a sign that it has lost the connection and closes
things down. The phone, meanwhile, seems to think it can continue the

MGCP and Cisco ubr924
I've been trying to figure this one out for a while, but to no avail.
I have my cisco ubr924 setup for MGCP with Asterisk as the call-agent. I have manually registered the endpoint in mgcp.conf. When I pick up the phone, I get no dialtone and debug shows errors. IOS on the ubr924 is 12.2.
Any help is appreciated.

MGCP Transaction identifiers
I know this is not the most appropriated list to this, but I will try:
Does anyone know what is the criteria to the generation of the transaction identifiers in MGCP? I mean, are they generated by a randomic method?
I'm using Asterisk and MGCP eyeP Phone and observed that the RSIP and NTFY (methods created by the gateway) use high values in the transaction identifiers, while the RQNT, AUEP,
