Asterisk Integration with Lucent Definity g3 si
We have had quite a bit of success with our T100P and TE410P cards interfacing to Nortel Meridian PBXes and also to a Livingston Portmaster 3 using ESF/B8ZS and various combinations of E&M wink and ISDN PRI (usually in 5ESS mode). In the near future, I may also need to interface to a Definity via a T1. I was planning to use PRI--is that an option for you on your switch? -----Original

Lucent and ISDN-PRI
Hi Everyone, So I have been further exploring the integration of our asterisk server and our lucent definity g3si system. I took the suggestion of setting up an isdn-pri line added the two way tie trunk and the signalling group, but can't seem to get the PRI signalling working on the asterisk correctly. I've set pri type to network on the lucent, and pri_cpe in zapata on the asterisk, but

Definity PBX with a T100P & TN767E
Hey everybody, I'm looking for some information that I'm not finding by searching the 2004 Asterisk archives. I'm currently playing with a Digium T100P card and 2 Grandstream phones, things are working well. I wanted to move on to linking our Definity G3R Rev 8.2 to the T100P. Everything that I've read so far shows that you need a TN464 to accomplish this. We have a TN767E

Definity Asterisk Caller ID Issue
You should run the 4ESS protocol ("a" on the Definity command "change DS1 board#) as the Definity may not send Display Name for the NI-2 protocol (settings "b" or "d") Remember to make the Asterisk zapata settings consistent with the Definity. On the Definity trunk group form Page 1, change "Codeset to send Display" to "0 (zero)", also make

Connecting Asterisk and Avaya Definity By E1 . Incoming work, but not outgoing
Yes, I can make a call on that extension from other definity phone, if you mean it. -----Original Message----- From: Ken Godee [mailto:ken@perfect-image.com] Sent: 30 ÉÀÌÑ 2004 Ç. 19:14 To: asterisk-users@lists.digium.com Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] Connecting Asterisk and Avaya Definity By E1. Does Asterisk support T1 E&M Wink/Wink voice channels on any Digium/Sangoma hardware?
Hi, Did anyone manage to connect either Digium or Sangoma T1 card to any other PBX/gateway using T1 E&M Wink/Wink signaling? I'm trying to connect Avaya Definity to an Asterisk box with T100P and so far no luck. (I know I can do so with ISDN PRI, but need an additional ISDN processor card for Definity.) I tried to connect Definity to Cisco 3640 CCME (call manager express) to test the link

Umlaut over I on Definity display

Avaya/Lucent Definity -> Asterisk interop question
Calling all Definity admins, Got a few questions about Definity -> Asterisk interoperability. 1) What are the options for integration? Can I hand off extensions from the Definity and vice versa? 2) Anybody have any working configs they would like to post? I've found and read the legacy integration on the wiki about the two systems. I've also googled and found a few threads that were

Re: Definity ISDN PRI
I'm not a big fan of Line Side for Asterisk applications.... the individual channels have to be reserved (reminds me of the "old" days in telephony) and I don't like that... rather make it a tie trunk and use ARS/AAR routing in the Definity... much more general application. This also makes routing on the Asterisk a lot simpler. Easy to make the changes.... will advise if

Does Asterisk support T1 E&M Wink/Wink voicechannels on any Digium/Sangoma hardware?
I could only get *ANI*DNIS* working one way and that was setting my signalling type on the Asterisk side to 'featd' The Definity won't send *ANI*DNIS* information back to the asterisk as far as I can tell. Other than that, I've been running it with wink/wink E&M for a while now. TN464 circuit pack on the definity side, te110p on the asterisk side. Just a crossover cable

Lucent Definity + Asterisk Success!
Hey Everyone, Thanks for helping with this integration, I finally got it working! I have inbound and outbound dialing from/to the asterisk box via a pri line! I would definitely like to contribute this information to the wiki so we can fill in some of the information gaps there. In the short term I wrote up what I did and scanned in all of the nescessary screen prints from the lucent into a pdf

h.323 Call problem asterisk to\from lucent(avaya) definity
Hello, We want to make H323 calls between asterisk and avaya(lucent) pbx. We create node-name,H.323 signaling group, trunk, but we can not make H.323 calls to asterisk. Also no warnings exist in debug. Instead of giving the IP of Asterisk ,i give my computer's IP and run SJPhone ith H.323 GUI. In this time, connection is established. SJPhone accepts H323 calls but Asterisk does not. Do

Any small colleges/universities using PBX or Voicemail?
What an ACTIVE newsgroup! I'm in the early stages of researching Asterisk. My current environment is a small college (~1000 sets/~400 student sets), Avaya Definity G3si/Seimens Rolm Phonemail. As you can imagine, the maintenance, licensing, and equipment costs are HEFTY. So.. are there any small colleges/universities using PBX or Voicemail? If so, I'd be interested in your migration

Definity Asterisk CallerID Issue
I am hoping someone could shed some light and point me in the right direction? I'm attempting to get callerid work between an Avaya Definity PBX and Asterisk via TE110P connected via T1/PRI Crossover PRI. From the Definity side I've searched endlessly and came with an example which we modeled as close as we can, but still no luck. While doing PRI intense debug span 1 in I see a couple

Definity <-> Asterisk w/callerid
Hi there, So I've finally got our Definity and * box talking back and forth, but can't figure out how get callerid sent from the Definity to *. Has anyone had any success with this? I've tried every combination of zapata.conf variables pertaining to callerid with the same results: Accepting call from '' to 'xxxx' on channel 0/1, span 1. On the SIP phones I receive the

CVS HEAD 08-11-2005 & Definity G3R
Is anybody currently running a Definity G3 connected to Asterisk via PRI and a TN464? I've upgraded today and it would appear that caller id info coming across the PRI from the Definity is no longer showing up on the SIP phones. Caller id info from the SIP phones to the Definity is working fine. I'm going to be testing previous versions of Zaptel and Libpri to find the culprit and

T1 Timing Slips
Does anyone know how to monitor * to see if they are receiving timing slips on a span connected to a T100P card? I am seeing b-channel restarts quite often and also getting "No D-channels available" warnings from time to time. Yesterday I had all the b-channels crash during a MeetMe Conference. Not good! This PRI is connected to an Avaya Definity PBX that is onsite and located in the

AT&T T1 Cable Needed!
Hi, I just got a T1 interface for a AT&T (became Lucent) System75 (uses same cards as Definity). I would take a crack at making a cable but can't determine the pinout for a cable and it is not apparent from the board. Asking you guys makes sense as one of you may have one of these systems. The cable has a amphenol male D50 connector on one end and probably a rj45 on the other. I also

Asterisk and Avaya IP phones
The company I work for has deployed an Avaya IP phone system. They have deployed the Avaya 4602 and 4620 IP telephones. They might be sending me one of these phones for use in my home office. Question: Can I make this IP telephone register and work with my Asterisk server? I don't know if it is a SIP phone? I searched thru the Avaya site, but can't find whether it's a SIP phone or
