Using answering machine in my phone
Is this supported? I have a very simple setup where I have 2 X100P cards and a TDM10B. The TDM10B is connected to a phone that has a digital answering machine built into it. If I make an inbound call on either X100P interface it gets transferred to the TDM10B interface. If I let it ring the TDM10B interface answers the call and the greeting message of the answering machine starts. Then shortly

Asterisk is not "picking up the phone" with a x100p card
Hi. I have a x100p card installed on my asterisk box... my zapata.conf file includes the following lines: [channels] context=default switchtype=national signalling=fxo_ls rxwink=300 echocancel=yes rxgain=0.0 txgain=0.0 group=1 callgroup=1 pickupgroup=1 Basically, the zapata.conf file generated by make samples. Can't get x100p to answer the phone
Hi, I've got an x100P and I'm able to dial out and make phone calls with it ok but I just want to set it up to answer the phone and be a simple answering machine but it doesn't seem to want to answer the phone. I keep getting this: on the console when the phone rings: -- Starting simple switch on 'Zap/1-1' Nov 28 08:55:09 NOTICE[29298]: chan_zap.c:5458 ss_thread: Got

X100P Ringing/Answering
It appears that my X100P card is only answering after two rings. Ideally, I'd like it to answer on the first ring. pbx answers after answering from analog phone
I am setting up my * for at home office and still have analog phones attached and answer from those analog phones and not necessarily through the pbx. I found that with the X100P cards, they see the 2nd ring and will be ready to answer the line. I used a Wait to pause and allow another 2 rings before * answers. But found that if we answer the line after the 2nd ring and before the 4th, * still

Basic Answering Machine Function?
I've had my * setup installed with an X100P card for a couple of weeks and it's great fun! I'm even giving a demo to the local Linux group in a couple of days. But I have a snag. I have the X100P on a shared line, and configured to wait for 20 seconds before answering and doing the auto-attendant/voicemail dance. My problem is I can't find an application command to cancel the

X100P not answering
I have an Asterisk server running todays CVS (updated it just in case that was the problem). It has 3 X100P cards. The first two lines I use as my normal work lines and the third is my fax line which I use with SpanDSP. I run Fedora Core 4. I have a problem that the third X100P does not answer the call. From the console I can see that there is an incoming call with the following: --

X100P Manually Answer
I have an X100P used, at present, largely for outgoing calls. It shares the single incoming POTS line with a number of analog phones. Is it possible to talk the X100P (Zap/1) to answer a ringing call only if I ask it to? I'd like to use only the SIP phone in my office, but let the analog phones continue to work in the rest of the house (until I can afford FXS cards anyway..) I can force

X100P ring detection failure
My home * system I use for test/dev stuff has recently started to miss all calls. I have two of the "X100P" boards from x100p.com that are about a year old in it. They both have worked in the past no problem. At some point in the past couple of weeks they both stopped answering the phone. I don't have a specific date because only I and a couple of other people call in on those

X100P connected as extension to Panasonic 616 EASA-PHONE
Hi all. I`ve installed a X100P on my box and is working well with incoming and outgoing calls as a trunk with one PTSN line. I want to connect the X100P to my Panasonic 616 EASA-PHONE as an internal extension to permit to users to make calls to SIP devices from analog phones, the problem is when I dial the ext number where the X100P is connected I get busy tone. What config I need to change to

X100P odd state behavior on shared/split line.
Hello all, There's been a consistent problem with Asterisk and a telephone line which has been answered by someone or someone that has placed an out going call. My configuration is a X100P that is plugged in with a telephone line that is split between it and a small Panasonic PBX. Asterisk is used strictly for voicemail. While the phone is off-hook, it will repeatedly go through this loop:

X100P question about odd behavior
Hi All... I have installed a single X100P card in my PC and am playing with Asterisk. The wire I plugged into the X100P has two POTS lines on it, wired on the RJ45 in the normal way. I am getting odd behavior. It seems when I dial out that the X100P dials both lines at the same time. I have two questions. First, I see that the X100P is only a single channel. Does this mean that I can

X100P does not detect ringing
Hi! The X100P is working - partly. I can make outgoing calls. But the card has got a problem detecting incoming calls. Even in verbose mode I don't see any hint that the card detects a call. At the moment I'm using the card behind my old ISDN telephone system. Could it be a problem with the line voltage? Can I adjust anything when loading the kernel module? Bye! Michael

X100P "rings" randomly when "phone" line makes call
Not sure if anyone experienced the same - or if anyone ever connected a POTS phone to the "Phone" jack on an X100P card. The POTS phone rings normally when the FXO receives a call. The POTS phone can also make outgoing calls when FXO is not holding the line. This is desired. But if a call connected to the POTS phone lasts longer than a couple of minutes, Asterisk would receive

Generic X100P setup issues
I am starting to dip my toes into the asterisk world, and to that end I've scavenged an old PC (this is a home project, and I have basically $0 to spend on it), and installed FC1. I've purchased a clone X100P (or at least I was told it was), and I am trying to get it to work. However, when I try and load the wcfxo module, I get the following errors... Echo Cancellation, TDMoE fails, X100P works
We have been pretty much able to solve our echo problems, except for the primary mode in which we desire to operate our system. See system diagram at bottom.
