TDM cards and Asterisk
I have put a box together using 2 X100P and 2 TDM400 4port cards. Using the simple setup that Martin posted a few days ago, I have asterisk almost up and running. /etc/zaptel.conf fxsks=1-2 fxoks=3-10 loadzone=nz defaultzone=nz (I have added NZ tone information to zaptel and Asterisk - I'll submit a patch soon). /etc/asterisk/zapata.conf [channels] context=incoming signalling=fxs_ks

Also how do I turn on the mark echo canceller. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-admin@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of asterisk-users-request@lists.digium.com Sent: Tuesday, April 13,

fxs card not loading in new computer
(I'm producing a writeup on all the things one run into building an * box. Which after a couple of boxes is showing up aplenty.) So this uses the working h/w and config's from another box. All I do is build in a new computer. Loading the modules I got: __________________________________________________ Zaptel Configuration ====================== Channel map: Channel 01: FXS

TDM400P Issues
Hi, I just got my TDM400P card (2 modules) and i installed it no probs. The card is detected fine, but for some reason when I add the card to zaptel.conf i get the following error: --snip-- ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: Invalid argument (22) Did you forget that FXS interfaces are configured with FXO signalling and that FXO interfaces use FXS signalling? --snip-- My /etc/zaptel.conf looks

X100P fails to initialize
So I took a chance with an X100P knock-off on eBay. I'm running Asterisk + FreePBX on a PowerMac G3 (beige desktop) using Slackintosh 10.2 and kernel 2.6.16.16. Everything has been fine up until now. I compile the 1.2.5 Zaptel drivers without a problem, get the udev configuration in, modprobe zaptel, and finally modprobe wcfxo. At this point, I get the message: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel

ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 1: No such device or address
I have had a TDM400 with 2 FXO and 2 FXS working for ages (>12 months). It has stopped working. All four green lights are still lit. I have rebuilt zaptel and asterisk and restarted but the problem persists. /sbin/ztcfg -vvvv Zaptel Configuration ====================== Channel map: Channel 01: FXO Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 01) Channel 02: FXO Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 02) Channel 03:

New Installed X100p
Hi Tzafrir, I am not sure what to look for, so I haveattached both the contents of /var/log/kern.log as well as the outputof dmesg. If you are looking for something specific, perhaps I can grepfor it and send you a smaller version. I have attached these as a tar ball to get below the 40K limit at which moderator approval is required. Thanks for the help. > Date: Fri, 7 Sep 2007 10:26:11

Second X100P card won't work
Greetings all, I've just put two X100P cards to my box and despite trying everything I can find on the web, I can't get the second one to work. I've edited /etc/modules.conf so that ztcfg doesn't run automatically. To start, I run: /sbin/modprobe zaptel /sbin/modprobe wcfxo /sbin/ztcfg /sbin/modprobe ixj and ztcfg says: ZT_CHANCONFIG failed on channel 2: No such device or

problems with X100P - Nochanneltyperegisteredfor 'Zap'
This may seem obvious or silly but have you tried using a different phone cord? A bad phone cord played havoc on a colleague of mine during initial config. Fro what you show as your output from ztcfg, you should have one channel configured successfully then. Your example shows you have the channel set to one so no problem there. If you run ZAP SHOW CHANNELS from the CLI what do you see? W

Help Configuring TDM04B
Hi: I had an fxo card from Digitnetworks and it was working fine on my Asterisk box. I then replaced it with TDM04B. I changed the zaptel and zapata to include the four channels. When I run ztcfg, I get configuration errors: Channel map: Channel 01: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 01) Channel 02: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 02) Channel 03: FXS Kewlstart (Default) (Slaves: 03) Channel 04:

digium dev kit - X100P & TDM400P
Hello. Well I finally rx'd my dev kit (new batch of TDM's apparently. I'm on Mandrake 9.1 There were no hardware install instructions, it would have been nice to know whether the 4-way power connector was to be used or was for some other future or expansion purpose. It came with a floppy disc, no label and it wasn't even write protected. The only readme file was

Problems with Digium TDM400 card
I had a working Asterisk 1.4.24.1 installation on SUSE 9 Linux but SIP only. I then downloaded and installed latest Zaptel and could not get Zaptel working. So I downloaded Asterisk again and re-installed. But still problems: Here is my ztcfg output: asterisk:/etc/asterisk # ztcfg -vvvvv Notice: Configuration file is /etc/zaptel.conf line 4: Unable to read Zaptel version information. Zaptel
