I've seen the Cisco 7940, but I don't know if it works, and how expensive is it ? I'm french, so if you know some french resellers, tell me. Grandstream BudgeTone 102 initial experiences
Just to toss in my very limited experiences with the Grandstream phone-- I haven't tested it enough to really know nor is my Asterisk config set up enough to fully try all the features. Mostly, it just works. It was very easy to configure and get running. I've been toting it around to clients as a show and tell exhibit and it has helped get people excited about the possibilities. SNOM100 GSM again
OK I did some researches and tests with it, and finally: I registered my messenger to the asterisk and called if from the snom. The audio from the snom to the messenger was PERFECT. By the time of the call This message was running on the asterisk console: WARNING[16400]: File dsp.c, Line 1107 (ast_dsp_process): Unable to detect process 2 frames My conclusion is that the snom100 utilizes MSGSM

Hi, I have more or less decided to do with the SNOM phones for the next stage of testing with Asterisk becasue they seem to be the best value for money and have support for the GSM codec and easy upgrades.. But now I have to decied wheather to get the 100 or 200 and if its the 200 then I need to have some justification for the extra cost.. Can someone who knows these 2 phones tell me what the

Asterisk and Hot Desks??
Hi, Has anyone worked out a way to use Asterisk in a Hot Desk environment?? I have not been able to think of a way for the user to have control over which IP phone will ring when that users extension is dialed without the user needing to reconfigure the phone.. Something like this would be cool.. User dials *8555 (or similar) and is prompted to enter their extension and then password, after

I have looked for a new one online (In the UK using Maplin let me know if you know a better place.) becasue it would probbaly take too long to get one sent from China or the US and I need to get that station

OT: Multiple SIP phones behind NAT gateway?

Strange Call waiting problems - SNOM 200 & Grandstream Budgetone
Hi I am setting up an Asterisk System in an office environment, Incoming and Outgoing calls are working ok, but i am having a few strange problems regarding call waiting. With the SNOM 200 (firmware 2.02t) phones, if you are on a call and a 2nd call comes in, the call waiting beep is played and the light flashes, but if you hang up the 1st call, instead of the phone ringing, it connects the

Budgetone and NTP (redux)
I have found that the NTP server is not contacted when the phone (Budgetone 100) comes back from a power down. I must reboot the phone without powering down to get the phone to contact the NTP server for the time. It doesn't matter whether I reboot from the phone's web site or using the menu reset function: either works. I have only tested this with a private NTP server. This may

BudgeTone Firmware 1.0.3.78?
I have seen two references today (don't recall whether here or on one of the other VoIP lists I read) to people having the .78 version of the firmware installed on their phones. I'm keen on getting hold of it, but their support page still offers only the older version. Is it out there somewhere, and how might one have at it? Thx. B.

[OT] Yoda Communications' VG-400 (4 Port FXO and 2 Port FXO/2 Port FXS)
With the lack of info on Yoda Communications in Taiwan and their hardware, I thought I'd post my experience. I got my hands on a few H.323 VG-400's and VG-100TA's. http://www.yoda.com.tw/model.php?type=VoIP_Solution&pname=VG400 2 of the VG-400's were 2FXO/2FXS models. A couple were deployed to SE Asia, where we planned to offer our services. Originally, I ran a GnuGK server

Budgetone and Voicemail
I have a problem with using voicemail on the Budgetone phones. When entering the mailbox and password, sometimes some keys will register multiple times (as shown on console when it says no such user in config file) and sometimes some keys won't even register at all. It seems totally random. Has anyone seen this problem? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Brian

Asterisk/Grandstream Budgetone disconnect issue
I am setting up a small Asterisk system for use at home. I have one Budgetone 101, one Cisco 7960 and two Xten lite softphones. So far everything is working expect for an issue with the Budgetone. When a call is placed between the Budgetone and any other phone, the call is setup and sounds good. If I hang-up on the Budgetone, everything is ok. If I hang up on the other phone, the Budgetone
