OK I did some researches and tests with it, and finally: I registered my messenger to the asterisk and called if from the snom. The audio from the snom to the messenger was PERFECT. By the time of the call This message was running on the asterisk console: WARNING[16400]: File dsp.c, Line 1107 (ast_dsp_process): Unable to detect process 2 frames My conclusion is that the snom100 utilizes MSGSM codec.:( I wrote to snom if they want to add a feature to be able to choose which gsm I want to use, but no answer yet. Now I'm trying to write you this question:) Can you implement a feature eg. to the sip.conf to be able to define wich codec to use? You can already control the codec usage in the sip.conf file... add the lines:- disallow=all allow=alaw or ulaw or gsm..> OK I did some researches and tests with it, and finally: > I registered my messenger to the asterisk and called if from the snom. yes, but I can't control which GSM codec to use. And all the others are expensive codecs in the mean of bandwith usage. ----- Original Message ----- From: "WipeOut ." <wipeout@linuxmail.org> To: <levi@televersions.com> Sent: Sunday, May 18, 2003 3:17 PM Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SNOM100 GSM again> You can already control the codec usage in the sip.conf file... > > add the lines:- > > disallow=all > allow=alaw > > or ulaw or gsm.. > > > > > OK I did some researches and tests with it, and finally: > > I registered my messenger to the asterisk and called if from the snom. The audio from the snom to the messenger was PERFECT. This is the problem we are all having by GSM not being a happy camper when used with Asterisk.. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.. Alternatively you can buy the G.729 Codec from Digium which should be even leaner on bandwidth than GSM..> yes, but I can't control which GSM codec to use. > And all the others are expensive codecs in the mean of bandwith usage. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "WipeOut ." <wipeout@linuxmail.org> > To: <levi@televersions.com> > Sent: Sunday, May 18, 2003 3:17 PM > Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] SNOM100 GSM again > > > > You can already control the codec usage in the sip.conf file... > > > > add the lines:- > > > > disallow=all > > allow=alaw > > > > or ulaw or gsm.. > > > > > > > > > OK I did some researches and tests with it, and finally: > > > I registered my messenger to the asterisk and called if from the snom. > The audio from the snom to the messenger was PERFECT.
