ZapBarge restrictions?
Anyone successfully implemented a solution for allowing ZapBarge call
monitoring only for a specific group of agents calls?
The issue I see is that the feature only works on zap channels, and all
of the agents (in many cases) are IP phones.
Allowing ZapBarge and ZapScan on the TDM PSTN (t100p) interface has
privacy issues for senior managers, but would allow...

I have a couple of questions on the zapbarge:
1) zapbarge asks for a channel - how would a manager know what channel to
enter ? Is there any way of being able to enter an extension number instead
? I know that you can get the information from the manager interface, but I
wouldn't want to give my users access to this, or have to install...

ZapBarge a PRI DDI

and two as pri_net, the asterisk is sitting between our ISDN (UK BT
EuroISDN30) and our phone system. We have 200 DDI numbers on the ISDN's and
I need to give one of our clients dial-in access to be able to monitor calls
we handle on their behalf. I've got ZapBarge working but I need to restrict
the client access to calls on their unique DDI only. Unfortunately, of
course at any moment in time a call on their DDI could be on any channel so
I can't restrict it by channel and our agents are multi-skilled so can't

zapbarge w/o the mute
I've got a couple of different situations where I'd like to do something
like zapbarge into a specific channel but I'd like to be able to
actually talk to the party or parties on the channels, not just listen
like w/ zapbarge.

Asterisk Manager API and ZapBarge or ChanSpy
Am trying to monitor and record an in-process phone call using a
remote computer and the Asterisk Manager API. Have something that is
working, but the call recording volume is to low to be usable.

ZapBarge
I was ZapBarging an extension the other day (sorry, CVS Head as of last
week) and "forgot" to put down the phone when the conversation ended. To my
consternation, I then started to listen to a totally different conversation
- I think that the zap channel got re-used.

E&M Wink and T4xxP losing ability to dial
...I'm pulling my hair out on this situation and would welcome some advice:
I'm using the AMI Manager to Originate calls onto 2 E&M wink T1 circuits via
a T4XXP card from Digium.
Everything works fine for about 600(+/- 50) calls then the Manager is
suddenly unable to launch calls. Using ZapBarge to listen to the channels
themselves you can hear the dtmf digits being dialed, but then either there
is dialtone (again), or a fast busy signal.
I've also noticed(via ZapBarge) that before the T1 seizure that the call
launched will immediately go to an automated message claiming that not

recording calls
Hello,
You can use ZapBarge as an extension in your dialplan to listen in on
conversations going on in Zap channels(Zaptel device channels)
As for recording you can use the Manager interface command StartMonitor to
start recording of a Zap channel and StopMonitor to stop it.
Zap channels are pretty much the only ones rig...

OK, here is the long drawn out description of how I am using Zap Barge and
Monitor:
Zapbarge(listen in on live calls):
Very simple actually I just added this to my dial plan(extensions.conf):
; barge monitoring extension
exten => 8159,1,ZapBarge
exten => 8159,2,Hangup
Then when you dial 8159 on a phone you get asked which line you want to
listen in on, for Zap/1-1...

Can anybody help me for dial plan to barge or Spy(ExtenSpy)
specificor selective extemsions among 20 extension in my office.
lets say my office extension range is 301-320 & i want to barge only 3
extension say 320, 302,314.

live monitoring

I've search through all of the lists and cannot find any descriptions of
live monitoring (monitoring a phone call going on between an extension and a
zaptel channel live from another extension while the monitoring phone is
muted). I am aware of the monitor function which is actually a call

advanced audio recording agi help
I'm thinking about doing a project using asterisk that would let someone
call in and save the audio to a wav file. I know it can be done using
Record() or zapbarge. However, I'd like to be able to do some more
complicated/interactive things such as:
1. record some audio
2. play it back
3. pause the playback in the middle
4. start recording again in the middle where I had paused it
5. skip forward or back x number of seconds within the recording

Hi all,
I've problems sending the "#" key to the asterisk server extensions, for
example to login agents, I can do it fine with grandstream or cisco
phones, but I can't do it with cisco ata 186 connected phones or X-lite
softphones...
I tried with login agents, zapbarge, authenticate , etc...

ChanSpy - Should I repatch it ?
With the deafening silence from my previous questions, I feel seriously
alone in the desire to have ChanSpy available.
I want to be able to perform a "ZapBarge" on an Agents conversation, and
ChanSpy was the answer to my prayers.
Bug #2379 (http://bugs.digium.com/bug_view_page.php?bug_id=0002379) was

Call screening
I've set up asterisk with my X100P as a home answering machine. Works great
so far - answers the phone after 20 seconds, runs the phone tree, emails
voicemail, etc.
However, the one feature traditional answering machines have that I haven't
been able to figure out is how to listen in on the call. Ideally I could
just route through Console/dsp and hear it on my speakers. I've tried
